Is there a way to avoid subscriptions to renting websites?

Hi,

I´m schocked that every renting website has a subscritpion to pay if you want to contact the landlord. Like, wtf?! Sometimes they do not even post the dates available or the price, how am I supposed to know if I´m interested?? Still, you have to pay to find out! The other thing is: there are like 20 different websites with very little offers so you need liek 10 subs to contact 10 landlords. I cannot be the only one who believes this is a scam.

Looking for housemates - Hear me out

Hello everyone, I´m half italian half german student who is goign to study in Maaatricht for a Master starting in September. I´ve been looking for rooms, studios and small apartments and I´m horrified. It´s like minimum 700 + euro for small a room in bad condition and everthing else is shared. Worse than in Berlin, where I live. While searching I saw many new renewed big houses that go for 2000 + a month. Now I´m looking for a house with 3 / 4 bedroom, furnished to share with 2-3 other tenants. In the end, it should be cheaper and even if we were to pay the same price it would give a us a way better aprtment in greater conditions. I already have a friend of mine who is waiting to get a feedback for its application, so if he gets in, a room would be taken. At the moment, I have not found any apartment in particular, I just would like to understand wether it would be possible at all for me to find one or two other persons who would be embracing this idea. Hit me up!

Call options too expensive?

I got about 1.6 k Left in my option wallet (where i put money I’m willing to loose). I would like to buy a call ATM, but they all seem pretty expensive. I’m looking at the expectation in August, after earnings, but since these are more expansive I might buy the calls expiring in about 44 days. I was thinking of IBM, SMCI, NVDA, or ANET. I feel like IBM is a good company and the Quantum incentive are a bullish sign. SMCI got destroyed and we might see a little comeback, even if I don’t like the company. NVDA would be a great buy as a stock, not sure about the option. ANET I like, but we would need new ATH to make it worth it. Please let me know if you have a cheap call on your radar that might be interesting! Or if you have any feedback at all, as you can notice, I don’t have a clear idea on how to proceed.

NVIDIA call ATM?

Hi everyone. I just sold an IBM call Option strike at 265 which I bought after the announcement that US would invest in quantum computing stocks. I come from stocks and rarely trade options (and only with very small amounts), so I’m looking for advices and feedbacks. I would like to buy a new option or two with the money I made by selling IBM. I was looking at NVIDIA at a Call with strike 215 for 1640$ with expiration on the 21th of August. IV at 41%, high, but not too expensive. The IV percentile is at 62%. Whenever NVIDIA double beats expectations on their report, the stock does not gain from it in the first month just to “skyrocket” a little bit later. I feel like the last earning report was great and analysts set the price target at 295$. Now, “just” reaching a new all time high at about 250$ would be fine with me if I get this option. Not sure if should buy two calls of NVIDIA or get only one and then spend the money for a call in a different (ai related) company. Any thoughts on what I shared or companies ideas? I understand that my “analysis” is very naive.

Arista Networks OTM calls?

Hi everyone,

as this AI rally keeps going (even if the last two days slowed down), it´s hard to find stocks that are not above the price targets by analysts or options where the greeks and IV don´t eat all the potential gains. While it´s true that there are still some occasions out there of great companies that are not selling for crazy P/Es (like meta and MSFT in the tech industry and many more in other sectors) where you could find some value (I own both stocks), I´m looking for something hotter in the AI industry. Among many companies I´ve had an eye on, Arista Networks seems to be one of the only ones that is not highly overvalued. Maybe even not fairly valued. Only up 11% YTD. Currently trading at 145 usd with analysts´ targets at 189, signaling a potential upside of about 30%. Barclays even raised their target to 195. Even if the forward P/E is a little high at 39 (almost normal for ai related companies), they crashed their last 4 earnings demonstrating solid fundamentals. I was thinking about getting some calls OTM. I feel like this ai rally is not finished yet. A contract at strike 170 with expiration on the 17th of July is 500 bucks, while for the same strike but with expiration on the 21st of august we are talking about 890 usd. Since the next earnings are on the fourth of august I´m not sure what to do. I feel like the stock is far from done, but maybe the next earnings are needed for a shift in sentiment and the option expiring in august might be worth the price? I mean IV is at 53% and IV percentile at 60%, but when talking about ai related stocks it´s pretty standard and the market here seems to be pricing in some movements, but not that much maybe. The current ATH was at 179 and we might be able to break it...Do you have any suggestions or feedbacks? Thanks!

How to win on domination on Deity

Hi everyone,

I have a lot of hours on this game and won on difficulty 7, but I’m missing 8. I play standard speed on large map. I tried different amps (Pangea, archipelago, continents) with different enemies (5, 6 or 8 civs) and was always falling behind mostly on happiness. I always give the priority to science, which always worked in past games. Now, even if I don’t fall behind on techs, due to happiness or other reason I cannot even thing to conquer more than 1 or 2 cities because it would give me -10 happiness. Bear in mind that mostly I have a lot of luxury resources as well, well above average. To this day I tried with Ethiopia for faith and happiness through religion, with Poland and with Babylon and England on archipelago. Like you cannot have better civs I think. Do you have any suggestions?

Good strats to win domination on deity

Hello everybody, I have many hours on civ5 and I beat the game at difficulty 7, but I feel like deity (8) is impossibile. I currently play with a couple of mods (like more resources, civs like Nazi Germany, Stalin, Mussolini, Churchill etc to recreate the idea of WW2). I’ve tried Pangea, archipelago and currently I’m doing continents plus, but it always feels like I’m much behind. I play at standard speed. I used to choose Liberty, but I started choosing tradition on deity. I get national college before turn 80-100. I really don’t know what to change. How many civilizations should I play (the more the funnier), what map? What approach would you suggest? What are in generale cool civs and cool mods for you?

Hi everyone,

I´m going to study in Maastricht for my Master next Sept. I currently live in Germany and work here as a working student (20 hours a week). Since I´ll be moving to the Netherlands I will have to quit my current job and was wondering on the opportunities in Maastricht. I guess I will not have the chance to work in an investment bank as I´m currently doing, nor to work in the financial sector as the job market in Maastricht will be offering limited occasions and probably mostly "random" jobs such as cashier or waiter (which I worked for years when I was younger). I had a couple of questions for whomever has an answer!

  1. I heard that as EU citizen you can work 1 day a week (8 hours) and eventually get some funds from the Dutch government. I was told that every student who applies gets 300-400 euro a month + if you can prove that you don´t own too much money / your parents do not have a high income then you can get an addiotional 400/500 euro a month. Can you confirm me if it´s true and what the limits / requirments are?

  2. How hard would it be to find a job that allows you to work just once a week in Maastricht? I figure that the big amount of students are already saturating the job market + working just once a week is probably not ideal for the employer so maybe there a not so many opportunites?

  3. Will not speaking Dutch be a problem when looking for a job? (I got english, german, italian and spanish only)

  4. Are there any other benefits the great Dutch governement offers for european students?

Thanks a lot for your feedback and feel free to tell me whatever come to your mind even if I did not ask!
