PSA: The federal government is running a public survey on 2027-2029 Immigration Levels. It closes June 30th.
Like a lot of you, I've been incredibly frustrated by the housing crisis, wage suppression, and the sheer volume of temporary residents over the last few years. We see endless posts and rage-bait about it every single day across Reddit and social media, but arguing in the comments doesn't actually change policy.
Right now, the federal government (IRCC) is running their official public consultation to set the Immigration Levels Plan for 2027-2029. It’s not getting much mainstream media coverage, and the social media algorithms definitely aren't pushing it because dry government surveys don't generate ad revenue.
But this is the actual data the minister uses to justify their targets to the massive corporations asking for more cheap labor.
If we don't fill this out, they will just point to a lack of public pushback to keep the caps high.
It takes less than 5 minutes. Tell them the infrastructure is maxed out, we need hard caps on temporary visas, and we need to prioritize housing.
Here is the link to the official Canada.ca survey. It closes on June 30th.
Upvote or share it so people actually see it before the deadline.

So happy/jealous to see the new PT2s shipping, but man... still feeling burned by my 2SE
Hey everyone,
Really cool to see the sub blowing up with photos of the new Pebble Time 2s and Round 2s. Honestly, I’m super jealous—I’d love to be backing the revival right now, but financially, it’s just not in the cards for me at the moment.
But seeing these new ones also brings back some pretty sour memories. I was one of the early supporters who picked up the Pebble 2 SE back in 2016. I loved that watch, but it was heartbreaking when the side buttons started disintegrating after only a few months of use. Then, the brand went defunct, and I was just stuck with a piece of tech that literally fell apart.
I know there are 3rd party 3D-printed button fixes and silicon gaskets out there now, but I never had the technical skill (or interest, honestly) to go through a DIY repair for a manufacturing defect.
It feels a bit bittersweet. I was there supporting them when things got rough, and I feel like I got burned with a defective product that I never got closure on. Now that Pebble is officially back as 'rePebble' and making hardware again, I can't help but wish there was some kind of olive branch for those of us left with crumbling P2s.
Has there been any word from the new team about support or legacy trade-ins for the old defective models? Or are those of us with 'button-less' watches just officially out of luck?
Either way, congrats to everyone getting their new gear. Wear them in good health (and hopefully the buttons stay on this time!).
First ever TC 12 days ago—zero libido/ED and total brain fog since. Is this normal?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some insight because I’m hitting a wall here. I had my first-ever tonic-clonic on the 29th. I have zero history of seizures, so this came out of nowhere. I don’t even remember it happening—I just woke up with medics in my room and my wife there, obviously really upset. I’d bitten my tongue so hard there was blood all over my face. It was a total mess.
I’m not on any seizure meds yet, but it’s been 12 days and I feel like my body and brain just haven't "rebooted."
The biggest thing is that my libido is completely gone and I’m dealing with total ED. Usually, I’m active every couple of days, but now? Nothing. No morning wood, no response to visual stuff, even when I'm solo. It’s like the hardware is just disconnected.
On top of that, I can't focus on anything. I'm a gamer and usually into technical hobbies, but I can’t even commit to a game for 10 minutes without getting bored or distracted. I’ve been feeling pretty depressed and just "foggy" in general.
Has anyone else had a "system shutdown" like this after their first one? Especially the ED and the total lack of interest in everything? I’ve got a doctor’s appointment tomorrow for blood work to check my hormones (prolactin/testosterone), but I’m wondering if this is just what a major seizure recovery looks like.
Any advice or similar stories would be huge. Thanks.
It was such an amazing experience from beginning to end ... Played it on the Wii and I wish there was a SMG3.
