I'm planning to buy some gold ornaments from Dubai and carry them to hometown during my next trip.(legally ofcourse) Since I’m doing this for the first time I need some advise.

Can someone explain the latest Indian customs rules for bringing gold jewellery from Dubai?

Like, how much gold can I carry legally without paying duties?
Does it matter if we put that in luggage?

I’m looking for any sort of tips so that I can avoid any issues in the airport. Thanks!
