I help organize Wine, Dine & Death for the Little Theatre of Walla Walla. In eastern Washington, a community theater gives people a place to work together, meet their neighbors, and make something outside their everyday routines. This auction supports that work.

Donations include a signed leather-bound Project Hail Mary, George Takei's signed, numbered memoir, and a beginner poetry session with Jordan Chaney. There are other creative classes and regional experiences too.

I reached out to poets because I wanted a way into writing again, and thought other people might want that too. Our Little Theatre of Walla Walla fundraiser now includes Jordan Chaney and David A. Romero offering separate, private one-hour Zoom sessions for complete beginners.

Ashlee Haze and Caroline Rothstein also donated one-hour Zoom workshops for groups of up to ten. Each is a separate lot, with its own scheduling and expiration terms.

Our community-theater auction has several donations that audio-drama listeners might enjoy: Night Vale tour shirts and scientist lab coats, a Juno Steel poster from The Penumbra Podcast, and Jeff Hays-signed Dungeon Crawler Carl USB audio and soundtrack vinyl.

There's also a Midnight Burger merchandise bundle, which includes And That's Why We Drink merchandise in the same lot. The signed USB cassettes contain digital audio, not magnetic tape.

The Little Theatre of Walla Walla, the community theater down there, has its online auction up, and the big one is the Marcus Whitman weekend: two nights in the Tower Suite, a Long Shadows tasting for four in their Chihuly room, and two VIP passes to Walla Walla Movie Crush next July. It's a $1,350 package and bidding starts at $478.

If you'd rather bring friends, there's a night for four at Plumberry Cottage in College Place with a Dusted Valley tasting for all four of you. That one starts at $148.

A few authors from this side of the state chipped in, too. Spokane's Travis Baldree signed a copy of Legends & Lattes, Shawn Vestal donated a copy of Daredevils, and Patricia Briggs signed five books from the Mercy Thompson world. The books ship anywhere in the US.

This is the theater's major fundraiser of the year, and I've been putting the auction together, so any eyes on it help. You can browse and favorite everything now. Bidding opens this Saturday, Oct 3, at 10 AM and closes Oct 10 at 5 PM.

Tamora Pierce donated a complete Illumicrate Protector of the Small set to the Little Theatre of Walla Walla's online auction, and signed every book by hand with a short message in each one. That's on top of the edition's printed signature. Bidding starts at $53 with US shipping included, and Illumicrate priced the set at $124 in the US before any of that, so someone could do really well on this.

It's all four books, First Test through Lady Knight, with the foil covers, printed edges and illustrated endpapers. It also comes with an autographed postcard, a picture postcard and a bookmark in each book.

The Little Theatre of Walla Walla is a community theater in eastern Washington, and this auction is our big fundraiser every year.
