Hide key in Charge Port?

I have to stash my car for 3 hours to give to a friend. Does anyone know if it is possible to hide the key in the charge port, or could the key proximity potentially unlock the doors while the key is hidden?

I finally found the mythical SD card reader.

I was always perplexed by the lack of the SD card reader mentioned in the manual as being in the trunk. Well I went to change my cabin air filter and finally found it, it is hiding behind the glove compartment. Hopefully this means at some point we will gain the ability to record from the exterior cameras.
