Using an armet instead of the grand bascinet--- scared some kids ;A;

Question!! Did they ever have leather lined wrapped plate for neck defence? I mostly seen bare metal.

And...

Are the fabric textile for the maille collar..or it's just maille...?

Any leather covering steel plate in 1380-1400?

I'm trying to make my armor in look more unique, just bare steel doesn't really do it for me ..so I'm hoping to wrap my armour on thin leather or textile to give it some Pop.

Only found a few samples and they seem to be splint like armor...

I mainly want to find textile or leather covering over arms and legs

Beginning of a beekeeper outfit

This has been an absolutely joy to wear!!! A set of I expensive linen monk robe with a wicker tray got so many people excited at a local event .I'm an happy to make this.

Curious...did beekeeper back then worn gloves..? And should my sleeves be buttoned up tight like a doublet...to prevent bees from getting in?

Also..did they use to use a smoker to clear bee..or do they

.just kill the bee to extract honey....?
