From the pan to the flame.

Has anyone else faced this situation:

I left my last role at Chase as ABME(which is just teller and basic account openings) because of the blatant favoritism and lack of equal opportunity for growth.

I was there for 3.5 years and saw people get into the licensed banker role that were there for less or equal time.

Hell, I even trained my supervisor (whom got the role over me) on how to work the ATMs.

I gave em my 2 weeks and moved into a smaller, community bank.

Now, im making more money at this bank but it’s been a goddamn mess.
I joined during a merge/buy out and there’s a lack of structure and policies. It’s all figure it out as you go but you’ll still get blamed for mistakes no one knows to fix.

Beside the better pay; I work in a super affluent neighborhood.
We’ve already surpassed our quarterly quota and I’m set to receive my bonus meanwhile I mostly sit down all day on my phone.

Anyways; I can’t stay here for long. I need somewhere establish and steady where growth and opportunities have been there.

I’m thinking of going back to a bigger bank or pivoting all together because I don’t want to be a banker anymore.

Anyone else?

Cioppino for one?

Hey yall

Is there any place I can sit down and get a cheaper, better portioned cioppino as a solo diner?

I love going to Sotto Mare but lately my friends haven’t been able to join and I have no partner either…

Also I don’t want to Bart all the way back down the peninsula with soup on me lol.

Is this good for my first gig?

I’m in a Cliff Burton cover band. We will be playing a B sides of his less known work with Huey Lewis and Elton John

Brown-Duck Digger Ivy Slim

Probably one of my favorite fabrics I’ve worn.
These jeans feel old. Idk how but they do.

Machine washed and dried about 2 years of almost daily wear.

Studio D’Artisan SD-101

Worn for about 4 years with the first 2.5 almost daily at work and after.

Machine washed and tumble dried.

No promotion but you can work 6 days!

Has anyone else encountered such a daft situation and mishandled team dynamics?

A year ago I had a convo with my manager about my career progress or lack thereof.

A fellow teller had been quietly promoted and our small team of 4 weren’t even told about the opening nor were we allowed to apply for it since they took it down right away.

When I ask about my qualifications or what I needed to work on I get a generic “we want to see more sales” with no concrete numbers or timeline.

Mind you; the teller who was promoted never was subjected to sales. Even they acknowledged that.

Well, later my manager starts “offering” OT by saying I can come in for a 6th day.
I had done so before purely for the extra cash but at this point I was done. I kept rejecting any OT and the manager even had the gall to mention that I’ve been rejected her offers for more money!

How dare you assess me as not ready for a promotion but sure as hell ready to cover the absence that promotion caused.

Any managers reading this; this is the best way to break trust and lose a reliable employee unexpectedly.
