Will be TTC first time soon 39 years old.

Any over the counter medication I can be taken before I start? There's so many different types of Cq10 that it confuses me. If anyone can explain what is best. My periods are like clock work they last 5 days long and have never been pregnant, and its only now at this age that the time had become right for all the right reasons. Would like to try and make my body healthy and ready as well as other half. Thank you.

How to make a order of service booklet on a tablet.

Where or how do I even start looking to make my wedding booklet on canva?

I only have a tablet, which is fairly new. I'd like to make my booklets, but I just am so confused.

Do I need to pay upgrade to be able to make it?

I'd like it A4 size, so when it's folded, it's A5 booklet

I can get to a blank page, but I'd need more than one black page, and it's not as if the page let's me know it'd a booklet.

I don't understand any of it, lol

Thank you.

Nervous and worried about my hen party

My hen party is in a few weeks and I’m starting to feel really anxious about it. I’m the last of my friends to get married and I don’t have children, whereas most of my friends do.

The hen costs £140pp, which includes transport there and back the next day, accommodation for the night and an activity. I’ve tried really hard to keep the cost as reasonable as possible because I know everyone has kids, families and other expenses. I also picked a weekend before the schools go back, hoping it would make things easier for everyone.

I originally planned most of it and then handed the final bits over to my bridesmaids. We’re staying over, but now 3 girls aren’t staying. One is driving home, another has said she hopes she doesn’t have to leave early, and another isn’t sure if she’ll stay because she’s worried about her weight.

I’m also paying about £70 for myself and covering some of the food/drinks, so I’m starting to worry that I’ve spent all this money and it’ll end up being everyone wanting to go to bed at 10pm, things being awkward or nobody really enjoying themselves. Part of me is now thinking I should have just got a taxi home and saved the extra money.

The group chat is also really quiet and nobody seems particularly excited. I completely understand everyone has busy lives and children, but when it was their turn to get married, I remember being so excited for them and really looking forward to their hen parties.

I think I’m also nervous about being the centre of attention. I’ve tried so hard to plan everything around everyone else’s lives, costs and availability that I’m now wondering if I’ve put too much pressure on myself.

Am I just overthinking this because it’s getting closer, or is it understandable that I feel a bit disappointed that nobody seems excited?

Band 3 . Nhs job role changing in our unit with same pay

I work in a specialised unit in an NHS hospital in Northern Ireland as a Band 3.

When I started this role 9 years ago, Band 3 staff were not expected to do cannulas or take bloods – that was always done by the nurses. There are colleagues who have been here even longer than me, and it's never been part of our role.

Management now wants all Band 3 staff to complete the training and start doing both. My issue isn't necessarily with learning new skills, but with being asked to take on additional responsibilities that were never part of our job role when we were employed.

I know there are Band 3 staff in other areas who do bloods and cannulas, but they may not be doing all the other duties we already carry out in our specialist unit. It feels like more and more responsibilities are being added without any review of our banding or pay.

Part of me thinks I should just do the course, but another part feels it's reasonable to question why we're taking on work that has traditionally been done by nurses, especially when there is no increase in pay and no change to our banding.

Am I being stubborn, or is it fair to push back when duties are added that were never part of the role in the first place?

Is it normal for friends to be less interested in weddings as you get older?

I'm the last one in my friend group to get married, and I'm getting married in my late 30s.

When my friends were getting married, I was genuinely excited for them. I'd check in on the planning, ask how things were going, arrange meet-ups, chat about dresses, venues, hen parties, and all the wedding details. I loved seeing them happy and wanted to be involved.

Now that it's my turn, I can't help feeling a bit hurt. I've been engaged for a year and a half, and it feels like there's very little interest from my friends. Nobody has really asked about the wedding plans, what stage we're at, or even practical things like timings so they can arrange childcare, hair, or makeup.

We went out for an engagement dinner with four of us. I know this might sound petty, but I paid for my own meal and didn't even get a card. I honestly don't mind paying for myself, but in our group we've always covered the bride's meal or done something special for engagements and pre-wedding celebrations.

No one has asked if I've found my dress, and there's been very little conversation about my hen party, which is coming up soon. Three of them have booked a hotel room but are planning to drive home the same night because they don't want to stay over.

I know people have busy lives, families, jobs, and other commitments, and I'm not expecting to be the centre of everyone's world. I think what's upsetting me is that I put a lot of energy into celebrating and supporting them, and I don't feel that same enthusiasm being shown towards me.

Am I being overly sensitive, or would other people feel hurt by this too?

Adding on a little.. Thank you everyone for your comments.

My hen party is working out around £125 each which covers cocktail making which they get a free drink along with lunch and over night stay . I made sure and planned the hen on a weekend before their kids are back at school so no kids where sick and this also covers transport in the price and we are only going 40 mins away from home.

As for paying for my meal for engagement night, I really didnt mind paying it because we paid for the other girls, which my meal came to £20. I paid it no problem it was just the point.

Maybe it's just me, and if it was anyone else, I'd go out of my way to make sure to ask how someone is going.

When i used to put messages into our group chat about bridemaids or wedding ideas, it was ignored, so I stopped.

Thank you for al your advice, tho ladies :) It made me little better

Flare up or back to square one. I could cry.

I’ve been dealing with costochondritis since November 2025. The pain was awful at first — genuinely thought I was having heart attacks some nights. In January I bought a Backpod and slowly started improving. Most mornings I was nearly pain free.

A few days ago I started antibiotics for a tooth infection and the very next morning I woke up in severe pain again, mainly left ribs wrapping around into my back. Felt like I was back to square one and could barely move.

I kept taking the antibiotics for 3 days before realising that was the only thing I’d changed. I Googled the medication and saw inflammation/chest wall pain can be a side effect for some people.

Now I’m panicking that I’ve undone all my progress. Has anyone else had antibiotics flare their costo up this badly? I stopped taking them yesterday but I’m struggling badly again.
