In a predicament

So after i published my last game, i was looking for better options for a game engine, because after the work i did last time i realized that if i ever wanted to move into the industry or something like that, i would definitely need to learn smth other than turbowarp. I started looking into unity, but realized that my pc took so long booting it up, around 30 minutes. I then tried godot, and for the life of me i cant figure out this coding language. It takes so much work just to get the character to move. So i looked to Unreal next, and then realized it takes 60 gb to download and some people say it takes 120, which i cant do if i want more than 1 game on my pc. What engine should i use thats has all the proper engine features like file directory and stuff?

My game finally came out!

My game ‘Transcendent’ finally came out on Steam. It’s been a year since i started this, and now I'm so proud i managed to make a full game and release it. I made it all in turbowarp and did all the art by myself. I would be grateful to anyone who bought the game, or even just wish listed it, but to those who can't, thanks for your time and i hope my game gets at least a few sales. Please lmk if you find any issues with the game! I don't want to waste your time or money. Hope you guys like it, you can get it here

(Also I hope you guys think my art is cool)

Steam Cloud in Turbowarp

Is it possible to connect Steam Cloud API or Steam Auto Cloud to a project in turbo warp, so that a save file can persist through steam cloud? If so, how? My game saves data as a single string of text, and uses the local storage extension to save it to the computer.

Accessing system files

Does any one know if it’s possible to use the he files/ shark pools files extension to access the system file and store assets there instead? Like large data:uri and 4k assets so that they aren’t all loaded into memory at the start? Sorry if it’s a dumb question.

Optimizing assets to use less ram

Is there any method to make the assets not load into ram when you open it? Like store it as a separate file or something like that? I have a lot of 4k assets in my game and a lot of enemy costumes, so when it’s in the editor it’s taking up about 8 gb of ram in total 😬 Anyone know a fix or a different method?

Anyone down to playtest my game?

Hi! I’m in the final stages of releasing my game made in turbowarp, and I need a few playtesters to run through the game so I can revise the pacing, progression, difficulty and so on. Please let me know if you do join the playtest so I can get some feedback from you. The link to the steam page is https://store.steampowered.com/app/4817240/Transcendent/

Would also be a huge help if you wishlisted, thanks for your time!

Error code -36861

Any time I try to load my project, before it’s even done compressing the project in the packager, it gives me this error code. I tried to web packager and it said out of memory, and I have 16gb ddr4. The project runs smoothly in the editor but can’t seem to load into the packager. I do have 4k textures, but all of them have been compressed into only a few kb, so I know there is something bg else I can fix. Any solution to this?
