Can't title this question without spoilers but
Do Moiraine and Siuan know each other is alive in the Last Battle?
I'm in my re-read, and when Siuan finds out in Salidar that Moiraine is "dead", both are alive and think the other is dead. I could be wrong but after they rescue Moiraine from the Tower of Ghenjei, I don't think they talk to or about each other the rest of the series, since they've got different stuff going on during the Last Battle.
I'm probably gonna look like such an idiot for missing something.
Definitely gonna get sent to Sheriam's study for this
Didn't Mat have the dice ter'angreal
Please let me know if this has been discussed before.
But, throughout my read-through I absolutely thought Mat had the dice ter'angreal. It seems obvious given Mat's relationship with chance and the combination of the power of the ter'angreal and TA'VEREN MAGIC. However, now that I'm looking it up later, it seems that everyone assumes Mat's luck is only part of TA'VEREN MAGIC and the dice were not involved*.*
The dice is among the list of artifacts missing from the White Tower after the flight of Liandrin & Pals, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they took them. Mat has a little moment with his SPECIFIC set of dice that he's got in his pocketses. And then the Amyrlin Seat pays him a special visit. When I read this, I thought, "Oh, cool, so the Amyrlin swapped his dice and used the Black Ajah heist to cover." Aes Sedai meddle. We also know the Black Ajah were mainly looking for Tel'arin'rhiod stuff. They don't care about dice. But then when the dice noticeably get snatched at the Tower of Ghenjei... Mat's still lucky? I thought for sure he would lose his luck for losing the dice.
If I'm wrong and the answer is just "Mat's Ta'veren", I'd be kind of bummed. Much less interesting, in my opinion.
Why does Nynaeve see Aginor in the Arches?
This is incredibly pedantic, but shouldn't it really be Belthamal that she sees, since he is the one who viciously attacks her at the Eye of the World? Surely that would be a more traumatizing experience to relive.
Do yall agree? Was this explained or brought up somewhere?
It only happens a few times.... each book........ for ten books straight
Could the Aiel make power weapons?
I just finished my first read through, let me know if I've missed something or if this topics been discussed already. I was thinking about how the Aes Sedai are bound not to make weapons but the Aiel channelers aren't. It seems plausible that they could have forged power-wrought weapons, given how the Wise Ones might come from any status/society among the Aiel, and since blacksmiths were one of the most important trades. The Wise Ones already do a lot of things that the Aes Sedai avoid, and the Aiel would probably covet the benefit of weapons/tools that are extra awesome and last indefinitely. It seems that the Aiel relationship with the other two of the three oaths are more developed than this one.
It's also plausible that the could but wouldn't, since Wise Ones (traditionally at least) didn't get involved in war. Plus, maybe they saw no value in making super weapons only to kill other Aiel. I could see it either way. I would be interested to hear other opinions.
So since the live-action AOE2 movie is obviously imminent, I think it might be a good idea to get some of the audience expectations out of the way. The studio execs deserve to know what the people want so they can take active steps to completely ignore it.
Please leave your suggestions, but for now, I'm thinking we do a classic star-crossed lovers tale starring a Teutonic Knight, played of course by Ken Jeong. After falling in love with one of the opponent's Fire Ships, played of course by Alan Tudyk, the two face hardships such as expensive upgrades, advancing to the next age, and having to hang on to each other's LOS even as the Fog of War seeks to separate them. In the end, the ETK boards a Transport Ship so they can be together at the corner of the map, but tragedy strikes when the Fire Ship is placed on Stand Ground and is forced to let the cursed love affair die in flames.
Let me know what y'all think, does the story need a new angle?
