Trek Mountain Track 220

I got this bike from a coworker for $40. My parents think I got ripped off though but I think it’s a cool bike. I plan on tuning it up and taking it on some easygoing local trails later this year and using it as a commuter in town.

What are the most interesting button colors you have seen on an elevator? I saw green today!

One of our university colors is green though so it makes sense lol.

Review of the Activate Games Gaming Facility!

My family and I recently stayed in Overland Park for the night since I had to check in for my surgery 2 hours early at Advent Health the next morning. (Didn’t end up needing surgery since everything was healing on it’s own much faster than we thought!) The day before we were looking for fun things to do and saw that this place recently opened and we thought it looked fun. I can’t tell you guys how much fun I had! This place was a blast! I came up with a list of pros and cons and hope this helps everyone decide on whether or not they want to take their family here.

Pros
-Staff were very friendly and helpful.
-I thought everything was very clean
-The waivers can be filled out beforehand from your phone.
-There are 9 rooms and each of them have a different game
—There are different levels for the games in each room as well
-The wait times are minimal as there is an announcement that everyone has 10 seconds to leave the room as soon as they complete a level
-All of the rooms cater to a wide variety of ages
-There is a special room where birthdays or get togethers can be held
-The wristbands were very easy to use
-You can choose how long you want to play for. (I think the minimum is an hour.)
-The price wasn’t too bad if I remember right
-Everything was a blast!

Cons
-While the building itself is ADA accessible, it doesn’t seem very inclusive play wise unfortunately. There is A LOT of physical activity, especially standing, jumping, ducking, and running.
-While a large age group can enjoy this place, it is recommended that a minimum age of 10 should play the games/rooms
-You may as well generate a username when filling out the waiver as a lot of them are already taken
-It is pretty dark in the building so it could be jarring to walk back out into bright lights when leaving
-It is loud everywhere which could be overstimulating for my neurodivergent folks
-Not really a con here but you can get sweaty from all of the physical activity lol

I hope this helps anyone looking at going here, I thought it was a blast!
