So who else got walloped by the storm this evening? Lost a massive living 125’+ tree in my yard by the root ball. Feeling sad she’s gone for the shade and green but grateful no major structure damage somehow. Especially after seeing the lightening strike fire in Church Hill. How’d everyone else fare?
I was going through it this winter and sought solace in a full rewatch of CI (I didn't watch as it aired so hadn't seen all the episodes). Like many here most of season 9 absolutely killed me with how cheesy and weird it was (that vampire episode was....truly awful), despite how much I liked Jeff Goldblum's character, Saffron Burrows did nothing for me. What mostly blew me away was how many 'before they were famous' actors appeared in the series to the point I couldn't keep up. I know all the Law and Orders are famous for the pre-fame cameo but some of these were wild to see so many years later.

Hi all - currently on hold with DPU but wondering if anyone else has received an insane water bill for May (June 3 reading). I've been on the budget plan for over a year and its ranged (which seems weird but I digress) from $149 - $176 since I started. I'm on autopay and ebilling. Today I received a paper bill that says my previous balance was $615 making my total $777.54! WTF. My usage was actually lower (2CCFs) than usual last month v the prior bill and the same month last year (3CCFs). The paper bill does say I'm on the budget plan.
Weirdly when I opened the DPU portal the digital bill was reflective of what the bill 'should' have been and when I refreshed on my dashboard it showed the new $777 outstanding balance from the random paper bill. I refreshed again in disbelief and it went back to the 'normal' budget billing amount of $174 BUT it had knocked me off of autopay as well so the payment was late somehow. I took the moment to pay the $174' amount while that's what the system showed!
I'll update if I'm ever connected to someone at DPU but just curious if anyone else has had this experience. There ain't NO WAY I'm paying them for a magical surprise bill that isn't reflected anywhere else in my payment history.
My precious 15 year old companion is aging rapidly. I’ll never let her suffer and she still has a great quality of life but I can see the warning signs that I need to prepare myself for the inevitable. She’s been with me since she was 9 weeks old- rescued from under a roll off dumpster. She’s survived more medical maladies than I can count (or calculate the cost of) including losing an eye in January. But she’s a fighter, adorable, self-possessed, has better boundaries than most humans and at 12lbs rules the dog park with an iron paw.
She LOVES driving in cars and trucks, golf carts and always sits on the bow of any boat she’s been on. She’s fearless. I’ve always dreamed of taking her on a motorcycle ride in a sidecar bc I know she’d just love it. Is anyone in our fair pup living city interested in granting a doggy/human make a wish? She’s already got doggles and tbh I’d buy a tiny helmet just bc it would be amazing.
Throwing it out there just in case- I guarantee miles of smiles from her, me and anyone who gets to witness her in all her glory!
I'm curious for the communities feedback on covert signs of harem building. As in signs you didn't notice at the time but after the fact realized were yellow or red flags you failed to notice about a partner. Maybe they didn't even realize that's what they were doing with their actions/words/way of practicing poly but the result nonetheless put them in a position of control or power over their other partners.
