Switching to a menstrual cup was the best fkn decision..

So et me evangelise for a sec. I’ve been moving countries every 4 months for college and for the longest time my period was a whole logistical crisis every single time. You land somewhere new, immediately have to hunt down a pharmacy, half the time my usual brand doesn't exist, tampons are weirdly impossible to find in some countries, pads are like 3x the price, and I'm standing there trying to figure out if its brand i use since almost all the script is in arabic or some lang i dont know.

Took a classmates advice and switched to a cup. It is life changing.

The only one edc thing, lives in my bag, works best and no more emergency pharmacy runs, no more paying tourist prices for basics. I legit don't think about it anymore.

Only rough bit was the first cycle figuring out the fold + insertion, took me a couple tries and i almost rage-quit but persisted and ykw now never looking back hehe.

What’s one word that instantly reveals where you’re from?

Studying with people from different countries has made me realize how quickly accents give us away. Im at Tetr College, Sometimes I play a game with myself of guessing where someone is from based on their speech. Sometimes the tells are obvious, but other times it’s something you or your country people don’t realise until someone points it out.

What’s that one word or phrase in your country / language? Mine is adding ‘yaa’ at the end of sentences iykyk.

What is your one outfit that works in every country?

I've worn the same 2 black tshirts across so many countries that i'm pretty sure they've achieved sentience. Moving every few months means my whole wardrobe has to fit in one bag and sometimes get hand-washed in a sink.

Looking for that one piece that survives 38°C heat and a freezing airport lounge, doesn't wrinkle, doesn't die. whats urs, the thing u'd genuinely rebuy in 5 colors??

I have never seen my friend studying, still he tops. every f time.

There is this guy in my tetr cohort and i have physically never seen him work. while the rest of us are losing our minds at 2am, he's asleep, gym'd, posting a story from some rooftop. and somehow when it counts he's ahead of half of us. like what is the cheat code. is it talent, is it that he just doesn't panic, or are the rest of us grinding hard in completely the wrong direction?? need the secret of the effortless people fr

Meta ads manager has officially become unusable, idk how anyone does this for a living

I have been running ads on a small shopify product i built as part of a college project. last week absolutely cooked me. Every other day theres a new AI feature shoved in my face. AI recommendations. AI creative. AI budget optimisation. AI this, AI that.

i spoke with multiple campaign managers who seconded what Im saying and spend their mornings these days trying to TURN THESE OFF. literally nobody wants them.

Meanwhile actual bugs live free: campaigns won't publish, duplications break, changes don't save, error msg = something went wrong.

Literally thank u meta, very narrow diagnosis.

honestly they should just launch an ads manager lite. Like the older days when you create campaign, set up an add, select the audience and budget, ad creative and done. None of that AI slop.

Just frustrated at this point.

my best memory from last semester was building a playground with local kids

our tetr cohort was in ghana earlier in the year and some of us got together to build a community playground project.

Got some sports equipment from a local decathlon store, marked out the volleyball court, the football court. Getting the local kids paint the walls was total chaos, but so much fun.

Closed out the day with some facepainting, and community dining. was one of the most real and authentic moment of my life.

Whats the actual right way to follow up on an invoice that's late without being annoying?

I know this is a generic question, but I genuinely don't know the answer, and the advice online is all over the place. Im running an agency + doing my college. The Client has had my invoice for 3 weeks. Payment terms were net-15. I've sent one follow-up (polite, "just bumping this up in case it got buried"), no response yet. Now what? Specifically, when is the right time to send a second follow-up?

for context: this is a real working relationship, not a one-off. So I don't want to nuke it. But I also can't afford to wait 90 days.

What's worked for you?
