Hunger games

Hunger games

There is no concept of youth in this country. Like you don’t enjoy your life. All your life you just have to keep chasing for that one thing and somewhere down the line, you’re 30 married and have to put your kids in the very same thing.

There's no concept of being young and crazy, you'll always have to prove yourself worthy. When you study, you're not studying because you love it, you're studying because you'll be a "failure".Learning is fun but fun doesn't give degrees or land opportunities.Every action we do in a broader sense is just everyday hunger games.

Kids abroad live a happy free childhood (Mostly). They get to be dumb. Pickup jobs they want to do, not something that people find prestigious. Learn courses they are passionate about. Live a fulfilling life. But here it's just a constant run.

Kids of 16 years are going through worst phase of their lives thanks to stupid exams we have. Post that also, therent much to do in this country anyways. If you are girl, congrats you've upgraded to level hard.

Kids don't have fun, adults don't have fun. Our entire lives revolve around being better, being successful. In the end everyone gets tired, and rarely actually achieve the great things, because none of those are really fuelled by hardcore passion.

I think people should not have any kids, atleast in this dystopian country. That’s the highest level of love they can give for their kids

Ophthal vs General surgery

Please help me pick one of these.
For context, I always loved surgery but looking at it in internship, it felt like it was very hectic. So started looking for alternatives and I found ophthal. Now my rank is such that I’ll be getting good govt colleges for ophthal. And for general surgery a little peripheral govt colleges.

I plan on to settle in tier 1 so as cliche as it sounds, ophthal is wayyy too saturated in tier 1 is what I heard. So that’s pushing me more towards general surgery followed by ss. And my residents told me that surgery is extremely difficult in the first year but it gets easier in second and third n not to rule it out just on one year of hardship. Plus I am a woman, I’m ok to spend starting few years in hectic life but not entire life. Also, I’m a first gen doctor in my immediate family (my cousins are in g medicine and allied ss) So what will be the best pick?

And for both should I consider dnbs? Both in South India btw (heard north dnbs have better hands on)

Ophthal dnbs for better equipment and subspeciality exposure in trust run eye hospitals over ms in state gmcs (won’t be getting top tier dnbs but decently good ones)
Surgery dnbs in corporates for less hectic work and giving scope to crack ss right after dnb exams coz we anyway have to study hard for them.

Also if you are working general surgeon or ophthalmologist, how is job market and life like with these? Please share how you feel about your specialty.

Please guide me through this and thank you for reading this long.

Looking for best instant veg ramen options? Say no more👽🤚🏻

I mostly stayed out of instant ramen territory mostly because it was difficult to find good veg options. I recently got to know that this yu ramen carbonara so I got my hands on this and trust me it’s totally worth it. For 60 rs such a steal. It tastes almost identical to buldak carbonara if not better (also healthier ig not sure). Specially with the chilli oil on the top, chefs kiss. Good option if you are just starting out on Korean instant ramen.

There are other variants in this lineup, like creamy hot sauce etc. excited to try them as well. If you have tried other variants or have good veg/egg instant ramen options drop them down

Ps: please don’t come at me asking why it’s all soupy for carbonara, idk I like it this way 🫪

A lot going on, need an online friend.

I’m at that phase where everything is happening and I just can’t seem to find anyone supportive. I’ve always been very independent but right now I want someone to share my weight with. Only if you have the band width to give me only then text me.

This is not at all searching for a boyfriend/fun talks. I’d prefer someone older. Atleast 25 or above to relate to my problems. Preferably a doctor. And someone who ca actually put in efforts for friendship without ghosting. Male or female, just looking for a friend. Nothing more 🙏
