Risen 2 technical issues

Hey! So a few months ago I played through the first Risen and absolutely loved it. From everything I’d heard, and after finally watching some gameplay of Risen 2, I could already tell it wasn’t quite the same game anymore. Still, I wanted to give it a chance for the story.
The problem is that I bought the Steam version (including all the DLCs) and ran into some serious technical issues. I couldn’t save the game properly, and even when I managed to create a save, I couldn’t load it afterward. The game would just crash, and in some cases it even forced me to do a hard reset of my PC. In the end, I had to request a refund.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with the Steam version of Risen 2. Does the GOG version run any better, or is it affected by the same bugs?

I finished the game as an old-camper, so I’ve got a question about different camps

How many „exclusive” quests do Swamp Camp and the New Camp have? I know that the Quentin quest is pretty much the same for all the three camps, but I’m wondering if there are any „exclusive” quests to each camp?

Is that a part of some cut content or only for the trailer purposes?

Cause to me it looks like they planned on developing more the subplot of Old Camp women but for some reason they abandoned it.

Your thoughts?

A question about Gomez

So I heard there’s an option to spare him but….that wasn’t the case for me. I came back before in chapter 5 before entering the Sleeper Temple, sneaked into the castle through the „Santino’s passage”, killed some guards and ore barons.
Then I talked to Gomez and told him that I came back to kill him and…I killed him. There was no option to just knock him down.

Do you know what could be the reason behind this?

A question about Ricelord/Hakon (spoilers)

Well, I’m kinda disappointed that they didn’t develop the sideplot after beating/killing him off. I just killed the guy when he was sleeping and no reaction from anyone whatsoever. I thought maybe this guy Rayk (?) is gonna react somehow cause he was pretty much fucked over by him or, dunno, Rufus or Horatio, no one gives a damn lol

Quests in next chapters

So in the OG game there were no side quests in the next chapter whatsoever. I wonder if that changed in the Remake? Or is it the same as in the OG game where you could do all the sidequests in the first chapter and that was it

*without any spoilers Please

I mean, he wasn’t as popular in the past as he is now. Jin? I can kinda understand cause he’s the main character and pretty easy to play. But Kaz?
Totally don’t get that phenomenon
