Hey! The epee I currently use is fitted with a visconti. I have been encouraged to switch to belgian or russian, because the visconti doesn’t fit my hand well, even after changing sizes.

I have also been encouraged to switch to french, which is my preference of the three options, but that would require purchasing and wiring a new blade. It would, supposedly, force me to be better with my point control, which I desperately need to learn

I would really appreciate folks who use french, belgian, or russian to let me know what they like about their respective style. Thanks!

Two Towers is treated purely as exposition for Return of the King, and many of the intricacies contained in both are lost in the films. The things that make Aragorn great just don’t translate well to film. Lingering on all of his interactions only makes this more apparent in the extended cuts.

This isn’t true only for Aragorn, either—all of the characters lose the oh-so-important inner dialogues that are all but required to fully encompass the nuances of the characters, their beliefs, and their actions. It is possible to convey the same character details in film, but it requires clever action that just isn’t there in these films.

The films drag on and on forever and feel substance-less. When I think back on all of the best moments of the trilogy, they’re all in Fellowship. Fellowship, despite being over three hours long, still utilizes tight storytelling that successfully conveys the relevant information and tells a satisfying story.

And the end of Return of the King is just awful. Frodo awaking in Rivendell is such an awkward scene, and the buildup/justification for Frodo leaving for the Undying Lands is nonexistent in the film.

None of this is critical of the performances. I simple abhor the pacing and emptiness exacerbated by the extended cuts for Two Towers and Return of the King.

Please tear me up in the comments. I want to be wrong about these films.

Trying to use tuff for castle walls, and getting a feel for it on this test structure. Blend of tuff, pale moss, and mossy cobble. Gonna have to find a pale garden and jungle to farm this stuff, so definitely not looking forward to that, or mining tuff for ages either.

Looking for feedback. Not finished yet, as can be seen by the lack of lyrics and vocables and the such. There are some rough transitions throughout that I know I need to work on. This is also for an all-male group, and the range of this song seems to scratch the edge of what is feasible for the male vocal range.

Musescore also ignores ties for some reason, but they're in there. It also ignores dynamics for the most part.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Greetings. I have just made a Steam account for the first time. My password included a non-letter/number character (but still one that appears on a basic keyboard layout).

Is this known to cause problems, because my attempts to log in have been met every time with a "check username or password" message. I have carefully, meticulously typed both in each time to guarantee correctness, and yet that message appears without fail.

Suggestions?
