H1B Visa Premium Processing Fee Allowability on Federal Grants

I’ve always thought that although visa costs is acceptable on grants, the premium processing fee is not (per the uniform guidance) on federal grants. I recently took over a portfolio and have a PI who told me that the previous grants manager has approved paying for premium processing fee on the grant before.

My old institution used to always have processing fee be covered under institutional funds. Am I misremembering about premium fees? Does anyone have the link to where in UG it specifies that premium fees are not allowable? TIA!

Inquiry: Girl married CEO with a mute daughter and defended her

I came across a short drama (but couldn’t remember the site or title) and it’s basically a gi who married a CEO after meeting just once and she came into the house and got the CEO’s daughter who was mute and didn’t like strangers to actually hugged her. When the FL and daughter had dinner together, she realizes that the daughter doesn’t like the food being served and the maid started to bully the daughter and her. FL stood up for the daughter and fired the maid and got the other maids to make food the daughter would actually eat. The next day FL went shopping for the daughter. The daughter said she has a lot of clothes but the FL said all her clothes were dark and muted colors so she went and bought her more cheerful colors.

That’s all I remember.

Looking for recs - feel good shorts

Hi all, I’m looking for some recommendations for some feel good shoes especially some family themed ones. The ones that I like lately are those where the mom was villainous but comes back after being reborn or transmigrated and ends up building a good relationship with the kid and family. Or where the FL actually gets along with the family because they can hear her thoughts or the adopted sibling and the true kid actually gets along. Some of the ones I’ve liked are:

18 again together
Oops my villain kids are all big shots
18 year old great grandma takes charge
Fortune’s Darling: The Lost Heiress Returns
Adorable Quinn
Back to the 80s
Spoiled by my stoic husband
Reborn sister vs underworld princess
This time I choose my daughter
My family can hear her lies
My villain act fell apart

Basically more like feel good ones rather than the FL always getting mistreated by ML bc of a mistress or white moonlight.

TIA

Snatching the Playboy Husband - deleted scene?

I ran into an ad for Snatching the Playboy Husband and didn’t recognize it at first because the first ten seconds looked unfamiliar to me and I thought that they had a new show together!

Am I crazy or was this scene not shown in the final edit of the drama? I’ve rewatched the show twice and don’t remember this scene at all.

R35 MIRA

There are currently two RFAs for the MIRA R35: PAR-26-121 and PAR-27-032, but I can’t tell the difference as both are early/new investigators.

https://www.nigms.nih.gov/Research/mechanisms/MIRA/Pages/default

Would anyone be able to let me know what the difference is between the two? Is it the definition of whether they are ESI or NI?

My PI (I think) is an ESI; he received his terminal degree within the last 10 years and haven’t had any NIH grant where he’s the PI (he was a K12 scholar though). So would he fill out the PAR-27-032?

MOU vs. Subaward

I have a PI whose graduate student will partially be paid by another institution’s PI. Since graduate students are covered by union, I don’t think that they would be eligible to be paid as an independent contractor to that institution. Also since they’ll be working fee remission/tuition is a benefit they receive, so if they’re submitting the invoice it would be a little bit more complicated. My idea is to set us up as a subaward, which I think can happen even on an institutional funding source. The other institution is suggesting an MOU. What do you think is the easiest and best way to get the student’s stipend and tuition paid through this other institution? An MOU or a setting our institution as a sub (or another way I’m not thinking of?).

Thanks in advance!!

Final RPPR

I have a PI with two grants that are ending at the end of June and one at the end of July; but we’re not seeing the final RPPR button in eRA commons. If I recall correctly RPPRs are usually available about 45 days or so before the end of the budget period. Is this true for final RPPR or is it going to be available 45 days before the final RPPR is due (so about 75 days after the budget period ends since final RPPR is due 120 days after the end of the budget period)?

Looking for alt title or platform/app for “Falling to Rise”

Hi all! Saw this on my IG ad and thought it was interesting. It brought me to StoReel but I heard that StoReel isn’t a reputable app (can anyone confirm?). Wondering if anyone know if there’s an alternative title or if it’s available on another app. I have subscription to a few paid app (DramaBox, DramaWave, FlickReels, Stardust TV, ShortsWave, ReelShort, iQIYI, Tencent) so I’m hoping in between all those platforms I can find it. Thanks so much in advance!
