Am I inserting my menstrual cup in wrong?
Hello! So I only just started using menstrual cups today, specially the small soft Saalt cup, and I’m already planning on giving up.
Do you guys insert the cup all in one go or do you need to push some of it in and then scoot your fingers down to push the rest in from the bottom? I do the second one, and I’m pretty sure it starts trying to unfold before I push it all in when I scoot my fingers down, forcing me to have to shove the part that was trying to unfold in, and that hurts quite a bit, but it’s bearable
Also, how deep am I supposed to push this? I thought I was pushing it too deep, but learned that if I just push it in with the stem sticking out, in a few minutes it will naturally go deeper on its own instead of me having to push it all the way up, which brings me to my problem!
When I try to take out the cup, I struggle to reach the base with 2 fingers unless I push down a little like I’m trying to birth the thing. Otherwise, I can’t even touch it besides the stem, which unfortunately I can’t pull out with that part. Surely I’m not supposed to be doing that every time right? TMI, but it feels like I’m deep diving in there just to get the darn thing.
Also, I start leaking in like 3 hours, which would not be surprising if this was a tampon, but I thought I could wear this for much longer.
Then, I impulsively ordered a saalt regular disc to come later today, but I realized, if I’m struggling to reach far enough to get the saalt cup out, how will I get the disc out??
