VERY dissapointed at the environment and infra

So I'm in B4 freshers batch and the entire environment of the class feels so gloomy and dead, and i genuinely can't even think of making any new friends here. Moreover it feels NOTHING like a college at all.

I am fairly new to Kolkata(I'm bengali btw) so it just adds up and idk I just feel like isolating myself. The entire building gives a government hospital sort of vibe and the infra is just bad at its least.

Idk how long it will last like this or is it just because I had very high hopes but idk man..

If anyone feels the same feel free to contact cuz getting this sort of vibe from a college just affects the approach of a student a lot.

Looking for people who share similar interests with me

I'll be moving to Kolkata (Salt Lake) by the end of this month for college, and I was wondering if there are people here with similar interests when it comes to music, movies, shows, or gaming.

Please don't judge my choices 😭 I'm genuinely just looking to find people with common interests and make a few friends before I settle in.

Music: I'm a big fan of Linkin Park and Tame Impala.

IEM ECE SALTLAKE OR IEM NEWTOWN CSE (DATA SCIENCE)

Hey so I'm getting 2 options either iem cse ds in Newtown or ece in iem saltlake

I'm kind of confused in between which branch i should take

I've heard iem saltlake has a better reputation and brand value but again cse ds has more exposure in the placement sector

Please help me out
