Reputable Music Instrument Insurance Company (Europe/Netherlands)

Hey everybody!

I will go on tour later this month with an orchestra and would like to insure my saxophone. I never insured an instrument so I wouldn't know where to look for a reputable company. The only threads I found are US-based and not necessarily applicable to Europe. Hence my request!

Any advice?

Thank you in advance!

Practical Recorder for Saxophone and Big Band

Hi everybody!

As per title, I am would like to ask more experienced people. I play (baritone) saxophone in a big band and an orchestra and would like to get a portable recorder to place on the stand in front of me during our live gigs/rehearsals to be able to re-listen to the concert and have tracks to practice to. Maybe I could even ask my director if i can place it where he stands.

I am not looking for professional highly refined quality, but I really would like more quality than what I get with my phone (A LOT of clipping and muffled sounds). It's just for personal and informal use. It is important though that I can use it as a stand alone, that it is easy to set up and use, and that it can sustain the exposure to loud noises (especially if I put on the stand, I would like to avoid clipping when the trumpets behind decide to go for it ahah).

What budget and models would you think are necessary for something like this?

Thank you in advance!

Does it look legit to you?

Hey everybody! I thought I would never post a "is this legit" post as I would never buy anything without trying it out first.

BUT I might have the chance of getting a fairly price, barely used Durga and wanted to ask you people if it looks legit to your eyes. I can also pay a bit more to get a buying protection for the platform. Yo me it looks legit but I have never had a TW so I thought it could be a good idea to rely on the eyes of more experienced people.

For reference, I currently play on a JJ HR* 7, I am generally happy with my sound my I would like more edge (especially in the high register) and something for pushing a bit harder in big bands (I would probably keep the HR as main for jazz combos). I am mildly concerned about this one being slightly more open, also.

Thanks in advance for your tips!
