Some of my favorites

I inherited around 500 knives from my uncle. These are some of the ones I’ve decided to keep in my personal collection. I know Medford is a tool, and he’ll never get any of my money, but I’m going to hang on to this one knife because it feels pretty good in my hand. I’ve sold close to 300 of the knives on eBay, and all about pocket knives to fund some of my other interests. I’ve also gave away a bunch to friends and family. The biggest money makers were the vintage cold steel knives, and vintage benchmades. The 500 knives I inherited were just a fraction of his entire collection. My dad has the rest, and sells them periodically to fund vacations, and various interests of his. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around how much money my uncle spent on collecting knives, and the fact the majority were bought pre internet. He was married to my aunt who was a doctor, and apparently she enjoyed spoiling him. Anyway, just thought I would share this story with some of my fellow enthusiasts.

I feel bad for John Paul Jones

He's like the quiet guy in the friend group who no one really talked to. He's my favorite bassist, but I feel like he's a sympathy-favorite for others.

How do you guy balance fame and family?

My boyfriend's band created the score for a silent film, it was jaw dropping. I'm so proud of him. His band went from preforming at bars and outside dinning areas to playing in a theatre to winning and in my city to preparing to play in a theatre that seats 400 people. This feels so wild. I don't know what happening or going to happen. I'm curious how successfully happy relationships make it work. We have a respectful communicative healthy relationship we aren't perfect by any means.
It's all kinda overwhelming. I'm not expecting anything to be easy in any way Thank you :)

Stingray Special 5H with flats

I’m not sure how much this topic had been discussed. Of course I’m aware of the opinions of flats on a P bass, but has anyone put a set of flats on a special? I’m especially interested in opinions about recording with flats on a special, as I’m no longer gigging. Currently using EB cobalts, and in 30 years of playing I’ve never actually played a bass with flats, with the exception of my upright acoustic.
