A Question From A Novice

I know with grain bags you are supposed to break up and shake your grain bags when you get 25 to 40 % mycelium growth on your grain. But what about if you are using grain jars I know or I think I know that you don’t open the sterile jar to break it up when the mycelium covers 25 to 40% of the grain. My question is do I shake the jar to try to break the mycelium up and spread it in the jar for faster colonization? I never thought thought about it until after I did the break and shake on a grain bag and told a friend of mine about it and he said did you do that with your grain jars as well? He dumbfounded me because I didn’t know!!!

Rye bag question

I have a grain bag that is almost fully colonized. And I would like to know if I have to move the grains to a tub and add a cvg casing layer on it to get a good fruiting or can I just leave the grain bag alone and keep it the way it is and just mist inside the bag from time to time? Some help or past experience will be much appreciated!!! Thanks

Whoppers

These are the biggest two mushrooms I have ever seen in person. They came back two years in a row at pretty much the same time. Does anyone by chance know what these are? It was a couple of years ago but I’m still curious

Mushroom Identification

I’m new to mushrooms. Can someone please identify these mushroom pics I took of mushrooms just around my house. Hopefully their names, if they’re gourmet (probably not),maybe medicinal, more than likely ☠️. This little excursion around the house was really fun. I’m already asking people where I can go next. One more request what would be the best way to start learning the art of mushroom hunting and identifying. Thank you so much!!!
