How confident are we that Entropy is actually affecting Abyss?

For testing purposes, using level 10 Lethargy with a 6 yard radius, with 20 Abyss/20 Entropy (11 yards), I am almost positive my Abyss only grabs mobs at around the 7 yard mark range.... anything past that is unaffected.
