While dance styles and their names are pretty clear (dominican, moderna, sensual, bachazouk etc), there seems to be a lack of names from bachata music genres. Some people use domican and sensual for music also, but especially sensual is much too vague and big and can include such totally different songs as "Bachata Rosa" and "Apretatito".
I thought about it and came up with these 8 subgenres:
What do you think? What would you change?
1 old school /rhythmic dominican
classic domincan style, rough and rhythmic, like from Joe veras, Luis Vargas, anthony santos, Teodoro reyes, kiko rodriguez etc
2 modern (pop) dominican
dominican but with a slightly softer sound and a bit pop influence, like Zacarias Fereirra, Monchy & Alexandra, Romeos Utopia Album, late Raulin Rodriguez stuff (corazon Candando etc) etc
3 classic sensual / romantica
more sensual, slower and softer than dominican, but with mostly classic instruments:
Juan Luis Guerra, Daniel Santacruz, "Vanidad", classic Prince Royce
4 modern sensual
sensual bachata with modern electronic sounds
Jalil Lopez, Dani J, Montelier etc.
5 Urban sensual
sensual Bachata with Hip hop,. rap or RnB influences
Nandy Versatil, Chris Paradise, some Aventura, "Odio", (Grupo Extra?)
6 Pop Remixes
remixes of pop songs sound similar to modern sensual, but with more pop music elements
7 Electronic Fusion
Bachata with strong electronic beats/sounds and rhytmic parts, (fusion because bachata rhytms not clearly dominant.)
e.g. "Apretaito", "Clavaito", "Calentura", "asi es la vida"
8 Fusion Remixes
Remixes with reduced bachata elements and a lot non-bachata parts
DJ Cat (e.g. "Ordinary")
Learned a combo recently but didnt like the exit from back to back position (with both hands held (to the outside))

Hallo, würdet Ihr empfehlen, es so zu lesen, wie es ist, oder zuerst die Erinnerungen und das Vorwort erst später? Ich habe eine Rezension gelesen, die Letzteres dringlich empfohlen hat. Was meint Ihr dazu? Hat es jemand gelesen und kann eine Empfehlung geben?
I know Bachaturo is in there, but i want to go with my gf and she is only 6 month into bachata and feels intimidaten by such a large festival, so we are looking for sth a little smaller and more personal.
Do you have any ideas for us? Fokus should be not too much on advanced styles like zouk/influence/fusion.
a plus if there sth interesting around to visit.
Any tips are appreciated.
