Got Red Lucy a pile of eggs for The Thorn -- East!

My pro-Legion Lone Courier figured Caesar might not approve of an independent, strong woman running her own underground fight club with gambling, so I force-recruited her as a companion and moved her to the Capitol Wasteland. Started collecting all kinds of creature eggs so she could begin again.

So, here's the pile of Radscorpion, Deathclaw, Cazador, Mantis, Gecko, Golden Gecko, Fire Gecko, and Fire Ant eggs I have collected over about a month and a half.

Did The Courier's Mile in my All-Nighter Nightwear

Yes it was frustrating. Yes I took a ton of drugs. Yes, the force-recruited companions I was able to bring in got knocked out when just about every Marked Man in the area *and a Deathclaw* came after us. But I made it!

Best Fourth of July celebrations nearby?

Since Pflugerville cancelled theirs, we are looking for recommendations. Thinking of maybe Manor or Round Rock. Have any of y’all been to those festivals? Especially interested in knowing about the traffic and parking situations if you are arriving after dinner.

edit: would appreciate reviews from anyone who has been to those events in past years

My slaver character gave Grouse Centurion armor and left Dog as a guard

Nearly every time I fast-travel to Paradise Falls, some Albino Radscorpion, Yao Guai, or other dangerous creature is at the entrance. Grouse sometimes winds up dead. I figured I might not have to open the console and resurrect him every time I need to do business if he had better armor. Centurion Armor seemed quite appropriate.

And I know it won't make a difference, but I left Dog by the entrance to roleplay that he'll be an additional guard. He's further back than Grouse so he'll be out of sight of any human visitors that aren't coming in further, like the traveling merchants. No way most Capitol Wasteland residents wouldn't run or attack if they saw him.

Side note: Thinking about this made me realize it doesn't make much sense that NPCs don't really react to Fawkes. I think it could've been a good idea for Bethesda to have NPCs either cower or be on guard the first time you go to a new area with him in your party. They can start acting normal once they realize he's a good guy.

Are there any figurines you know of depicting Native Americans in modern roles?

I just got one of these Aboriginal Australian ranger figurines and thought it might be nice to get a native American to go with it. But all the figurines I can find are in traditional or stereotypical clothing.

Brought Dog to the Capitol, here he is beating up on other Super Mutants

The grayness on some of these is because I was crouching while wearing the Advanced Riot Gear Helmet.

Dog got into the Gunrunner's Booth

I turned collision off in an attempt to rob their underground vendor chest (didn't work), and came back to find my companion inside. This moment brought to you by: a Dead Money Companions mod, JIP Companions Command and Control, and Functional Post-Game Ending (I did a Legion run, which resulted in the Vendortron being disabled).

Early Travis County Road Records - Travis County Archives Travis County Archives

A few months back I pored over the 1898 to 1902 Travis County Road Books. I think it's pretty fascinating to see how much has changed, and what hasn't. Lots of the old roads have different names. Hell, Burnet seems to have been an entirely different route. But there were some things that don't seem to have changed, like the school that seems to be at Daffan and Decker. I figure some of y'all would enjoy exploring this for yourselves!

And in case you ever wanted to know if Cameron Road has always been that weird...yes, yes it has.

The Man Opener in Dead Money

I used JIP CC&C to smuggle some decent gear in on my force-recruited dog. And the mask is courtesy of Dead Money Survival Gear

Does anyone else here see too many people getting onto their freeway entrances at the absolute last minute?

I semi regularly see people get on the entrance when the line is *already* solid white. When it would’ve been safer to just continue on the frontage road and get on if the next entrance.

Novel involving attempted assassin radicalized on neo-Nazi website called 1919 (I think), that takes place in the DC area and involves a professor who is investigating neo-Nazis and seemed to sympathize with them.

IIRC the site was called 1919 because S is the 19th letter of the alphabet. I think the person he tried to assassinate was a politician’s kid, with the attempt coming when they were at school. It’s a thriller or something like that. Follows both the attempted assassin and people investigating his crime. May involve a final confrontation in the countryside after the attempted assassin flees.

Look who I just sent to Paradise Falls y'all!

He's got skills and knowledge, but not a lot of regret about the collateral damage. So I'm sending him where he can be sold to someone who will control and direct his research.
