Before the eu was cancelled in 2014 references for swtor was rare and obviously if the legends have went on they would have incorporated more lore elements of the game to other content.
I'm gladly discovered that in the post rotj books there was one specific mention though; Luke, Ben and Vestara talks about dromund kaas history and they mention that Vitiate Empire rediscovered the planet and it was their capital until it fall.
It was nice that however brief, the game story got acknowleged, similarly with the Plageuis novel by Luceno.
I still want to see the rakata empire ending, and the further adventures of Xesh and Shae who became my favourites despite their limited role in the eu.
But it's nice that it actually ended on a high note, not even the legacy comics were that such a happy ending to me.
I think in general the eu needed more stories with positive outcomes and I love to see that one of my favourite couple actually got one.
While the swtor aesthetic is incosistent in many ways, it really gave is one of the more unique clothes too. Zakuul fashion amd dread masters clothes are good example for this.
Maybe because I grow up in the prequels era but Star wars in the cinemas were an event, something to wait for and it was special for it.
Sure, there was always the eu, with books, comics, games and even animated projects like two clone wars, but for most casual fans it always the movies which were they looking for.
Then Disney aside from doing a sequel trilogy planned to release every year a movie in cinemas, and when its wasnt that successful they switched television shows.
Now we have lots of live action projects, and lucasfilm even attempts to return to the big screen with the Mando movie and Starfighter.
I think the problem is that just like many other francises that it became too much and many fans has got fatigued by it regardless of quality. At least based how most people seems less than enthusiastic about the Mando movie really points at that possibility.
So, in my opinion the franchise really needs a long when it comes to the live action films and even series. After that honestly I dont know, since disney probably wont sell lucasfilm for awhile and the sequels are still canon.
What do you think, what should the studio do going forward and how they can win back the fans in the long run?
Massassi are underrated part of sith society, by the time of swtor they are mostly living in yavin 4. My headcannon is that some of them still serve some high ranking pureblood in the Empire, for example under Vowrawn as harem guards.
Seeing this nice art just reminded me that soon I should start the young jedi knights series. It would be nice to see them young and innocent.
I currently jumping around in the eu books and comics with mostly reading what I'm interested in the moment, but eventually I plan to read them all.
After that if I ever rereading them I intent to do it in chronologically, from the dawn of the jedi to the legacy comics.
Obviusly it wont be a new experience, but I still wonder those who read it this way, what was your thoughts, how sid you like it. This is not a popular choice to explore the eu, so how was it different? Not to mention if you didnt even watch lore videos or browse for articles about the stories, so less prior knowledge.
After this I think I refocus to the new legends translations, since the third njo and the first two lotf book will be released this year.
As I written in the title, I think its great that to see a glimpse of how probably most of the galaxy still thinks of the vong; not trustworthy and dangerous creatures. Not to mention with Mandalore poisoned we got a reminder of how the vong war affected the galaxy in the long run
This is a relationship I wish they explored more, I love messy couples like them
