I am 31 living in Alberta, making roughly 85k gross. I find myself penny pinching lots. I dont own a home. I live with 2 other people and pay around 750 a month in rent after splitting. I save 1000 a month. I drive a 30k car - that is my only debt currently <500 a month.

But I feel like people my age. Already have homes. Have much nicer cars. Like I see people have the new RAVs and they cost like 60k new now.

Are the majority of people making more than me or are people just neck deep in debt?

I have SmilePro surgery coming in a week but I think I did a bad disservice to myself. I read the horror posts of blurry/worst vision post op and it didnt recover. I dug myself in a rabbithole reading them. Now I am scared and wanting to cancel my surgery and just wear glasses.

Am I overthinking this?

There is a sale on a 2021 toyota venza hybrid limited going for 33K but it has slightly above 140,000 km on it. There good service history on it but, with the high KM is that expensive or should I be getting a new car instead? Test drove it and it was fine but the high km is alarming. Sales folks say its fine but I have a hard time trusting them

There is also a prius for the same price almost (3k more) but newer and 100,000 km less but didnt have its first oil change until the 22,000 mark
