Anyone create a Toi et Moi look with their engagement & wedding bands?

I’d love to see any pics of people who had a solitaire engagement ring, and then added another similar sized stone with their stacked wedding band? For example I have a low set bezel pear, and I’m brainstorming ideas for how to incorporate another stone either emerald or cushion cut most likely.

Alternatively, anyone with a low set bezel pear stone with curved bands? How did you find ways to add sparkle?

Big diamond craze comments making me overthink my ring?

I got a custom ring and worked with a company that sources vintage and or sustainably/responsibly mined diamonds. After looking at a range of diamond sizes all in the “pear” shape realm, I landed on one that is 1.6 carats and has a sort of unique shield shape to it. I chose it over another slightly larger diamond because of its unique attributes. But now that I’ve had it for a while, everyone’s comments throw me off so many people are like “oh I love your ring but I want mine bigger”… these comments are coming from friends who are much more petite than me- this ring looks like 2-2.5 on their finger at least. Anyway, I know I shouldn’t care but now I’m overthinking my ring and how I can add larger diamonds to my wedding band to compensate. I’m sure others have found themselves in my shoes- just opening discussion I guess or source for advice? How do I embrace my ring, I do still think it’s beautiful but find myself wishing I got a bigger stone?

OG Manhattan beach is gone :(

Growing up in this town was the best, most people were from California or were at least genuinely in tune with the environment and casual lifestyle. I’m 30 now and I’m just so bummed at how the town has evolved, the materialism and demographic shift is WILD. When I visit home it’s insanely touristy, none of the kids who actually grew up here can afford to move back, and it’s become a breeding ground for an east coast country club type that just go to the beach for the sake of an IG post or excuse to show off the new 100k car and 5 carat ring. Don’t even get me started on the strand houses that are only ever occupied 2 months of the year.

Idk I get times change but as I start to look at where I want to settle down, I didn’t think I’d have second guesses moving back home it just doesn’t feel the same as it used to. I know tons of others must feel this way, my dad moved here with my mom in the early 90s and he talks about this all the time with the neighbors. Others my age may also feel this way- those looking to settle down that were born and raised in South Bay any towns or neighborhoods you’ve been loving near the water?
