About 2 years ago, I bought a new house with this large weeping willow in the back yard. The tree is well clear of all structures in the yard, and the only things the tree could impact is my fence and service drop.
Much like every failed relationship in my life, I believed I could fix this tree. Ha.
Every year, about 10% of the canopy dies back, Im assuming due to the absolutely dog shit structure this thing has at its base featuring 5 stems which Im sure is creating vascular issues. I deadwood it religiously for climbing practice.
The thing is covered in neurotic burns of God knows what origin.
Thanks to the previous owner and God herself, the thing is weirdly lion tailed? Or not. Cause it keeps sprouting in weird places.
Root flare is ok, I could dial back the grass further.
All other input welcome. Mea culpa.
