Episode 3.01 begins with the auction of the failures & a bidding war between Armand, Louis, and Raglan>!(if we're going off The Body Thief: possibly Lestat in Raglan's body).!<

I suspect Louis has the deeper pockets (younger than Armand, but seemingly more business acumen) and Raglan might be the most eager >!(especially in that case)!<. Then again, Armand could manifest 100.000.000 Yuan just through the power of sheer spite.

So who do we think won?

- Armand is Marius' fledgling > Marius chooses Lestat as the next Keeper.

- Armand spends 77 years as Louis' prison guard / errand boy > Louis still views Lestat as the love of his life.

- Armand shares his coven and Theatre de Vampires with Lestat > Lestat writes a diss track about him.

- Armand spends years stalking Daniel > Daniel spends (most of) season 3 openly hating him.

I would also be beyond pissed XD

Poor little gremlin

The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (the book by Jennifer Lynch) was released between seasons 1 and 2--before the audience knew the identity of Bob. DL and MF had told JL however, so she knew who it was while writing.

I'm curious what hints to Bob's identity readers might find in the book. There's a few instances where Laura begins a thought about Bob or Leland & cuts herself short like she doesn't WANT to go down that path. Nothing major tho and easy to miss unless you already know.

Would love to hear what hints about Bob astute readers here picked up from the book.

Episode 3.17 Cooper sees Naido in the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station & we get his head superimposed on the next scene (while the FBI and Bobby arrive). The superimposed head fades briefly when Naido returns to the Black Lodge, then returns when Cooper meets red-haired Diane. The clock ticks backwards and forwards for a few seconds. The superimposed head says "We live inside a Dream." Cooper says: "I hope I see all of you again." Cooper, Diane and Cole then get sucked in elsewhere & the superimposed head disappears.

WHAT DO WE MAKE OF THIS?

It's very reminiscent in tone of the scene where Cole describes dreaming about Monica Bellucci & telling her about Cooper telling him that he was dreaming (the FWWM scene with Phillip Jeffries).

Should we take the reunion scene as a Dream? It's very upbeat with everything finally coming together. The White Lodge deposits Mr. C right on the sheriff's doorstep. Freddy kills him with the conventient magic glove. We get a happy reunion of Coop and the gang (*both* gangs--his buddies at the FBI and the sheriff's office). But then Coop looks at Naido/Diane and is reminded that there are no perfect endings--the reunion is a dream, but the Dreamer is already waking up into another unfulfilled reality.

(I know that Laura is more often viewed as the Dreamer, but imo Twin Peaks has several including Audrey in 3.16 and here Cooper.)

Or it's something else entirely XD Would love to hear theories!

David Lynch mentioned in an interview that we've never seen the Black Lodge (makes sense as the Arm says the Red Room is the waiting room). That was before The Return tho.

Do you think we've seen it in one of the MANY disconcerting dreamlike spaces in The Return?>!&#x200B;!<

Here's a tentative theory based on what we know from seasons 1 & 2 and Fire Walk With Me. Currently on a rewatch and haven't started The Return yet--so that might shoot holes in this XD. Anyway, curious for input and dissenting thoughts.

• Annie was praying when Earle took her into the woods. Regardless of the metaphysical realities of religion, prayer often brings comfort and serenity.
• Red Room Annie tells Dale "You're mistaken. He [possibly referring to Earle] never killed me." Which was very likely Earle's plan, indicating Annie somehow escaped him.
• FWWM Annie gives Laura a message in the bedroom dream scene. Giving messages (often too cryptic or too late) is more often White Lodge rather than Black Lodge behavior.
• FWWM Annie also says she's "with Dale and Laura." She never says she's in the Black Lodge though. Even if we assume Dale is trapped in the Black Lodge, entities from both lodges have access to the Red Room (the waiting room) as a shared space.
• Annie in Mark Frost's The Final Dossier wakes up once a year (iirc on the date she was taken) to say "I'm fine." Let's take her word for that.

What if Annie found enough comfort in prayer, even after Earle dragged her into the Red Room, to meet her Dweller on the Treshold with perfect courage & from there found her way into the White Lodge.

When the giant appears to Cooper, he says "One person saw the third man that night. Three have seen him, yes, but not his body. Only one, known to you, ready now to talk."

The third man is Laura's killer iirc. So not his body = they saw Bob, but not Leland as the host?

Who are the three that have seen him but not his body, and who is the one who saw all of him?

Feel free to spoil--I'm on a rewatch so I *should* know, I just can't remember XD

On a rewatch & it seems like EVERYONE gets a cliffhanger at the end of season 1. So many people in lethal danger / seemingly already dead / about to have relations with the VERY WRONG person / suffering a pregnancy scare. The list is endless. It's madness.

Here's my question this time 'round tho. Did Lynch or Frost ever mention **why** so many?

Seasonal cliffhangers were standard back then, but they’re usually reserves for one or two fan favorite characters--not anybody and everybody. I'm curious if DL and MF went deliberately overboard.

WHY does Gilead go out of its way to recruit Pearl Girls. I get *sending your own indoctrinated girls out* to breed goodwill and "show" other nations that Gilead women are totally happy and free to travel etc. But why *recruit foreign Pearl Girls* to bring back home--it risks bringing in spies, which is exactly what happened with Daisy.

My theories so far.

As servants/labor.
Gilead already has Marthas and econowives for that, but those get older and low birthing numbers means the workforce doesn't easily replenish.

Sniff out the fertile ones for Handmaid duty.
That's a huge backlash (and possibly the end of foreign recruitment) if it ever comes out, but Gilead could be arrogant enough to risk it anyway.

Would love to know everyone else's theories!
