Anyone else struggle with racing thoughts before sleep?

So lately it has been hard mentally. Every time something exciting happens, or even when I get overwhelmed or say something during a conversation, I end up replaying everything in my head once I get home.

I start overthinking the way I spoke, what I said, how people reacted, or whether I said too much or sounded awkward. Even small conversations keep repeating in my mind for hours, especially at night when everything is quiet.

The problem is my brain just doesn’t seem to switch off. My thoughts keep racing, jumping from one thing to another, and it keeps me awake longer than it should. Then I wake up tired and mentally drained. Does anyone else experience this?

Does anyone else get annoyed by fare dodgers on TfL?

I just find it annoying and unfair seeing passengers exit Transport for London stations, especially the Underground and Overground, without tapping and instead forcing their way through the barriers without being apprehended.

The most annoying part is that staff are there turning a blind eye and not doing anything about it.

We’re paying religiously and never miss paying the fare, while there they are getting free transport around London.

Social media was my biggest trigger to 🌽

So I am proud of myself that I was able to not watch 🌽 for more than a month, but gave in to a soft porn sex scene I watched online and pleasured myself. I realise it was adverts, erotic videos, and dramas that tempt me to go back at it again.

I realise that if you continue engaging with these on social media, it will continue to feed you the same content. So what I do is click “Not Interested” or “Hide Post/Reel” to signal to the app not to feed me that content anymore.

And less constant scrolling and more being present. Make yourself busy with something more meaningful such as being with friends, a group or a hobby.
