Star Wars Complete Saga Posters

I've been working on my own media library, and for series I like to get consistent poster styles for the whole thing. For Star Wars though, I couldn't find anything that I liked that covered all 9 movies and had what I wanted. I really like the Struzan posters, but of course he did not make posters for the sequels.

The sequel posters here, for the most part, come from Paul Shipper. The TLJ poster was the Dolby Cinema poster he made, but I cut out the black borders to make it actually Struzan-style. The TRoS poster is the international poster for the movie, and I didn't change anything other than the logo. It already has the black border made into the design. So that was nice. I really love these two posters. I love painted posters more than digital ones.

TFA was interesting. Shipper doesn't have a poster for that movie, but has character art. The poster you see here is from Ethan Pro, which looks like it uses some of the art from Paul Shipper. The overall design and structure is from Ethan Pro though. Pro has posters for TLJ and TRoS, but I didn't like them that much, at least not more than Shipper's. I did a little bit of editing on the TFA poster to make it more consistent with the other sequel posters.

For the logo choices, I like the sequel logos the best. And I liked that they had different colors 8 and 9. The only thing I thought was missing was the episode number. And for that I looked to the old dvd intros that had the episode number come up behind the title. I decided to do that but make it a solid color that matched the main logo but darker.

For color choices, I thought making the first of each trilogy yellow made sense. It's the main color associated with the logo and each of those movies is pretty structurally similar. For the remaining movies, I didn't want to go farther than secondary colors, which left three colors, but for four movies. Thought white made the most sense for the extra one as it's not a super specific color and it suits Empire so very well. Green for RoTJ is pretty obvious I think. As is orange for RotS. And that leaves purple for AoTC. Which isn't super accurate, but I kinda like it. The Coruscant underworld feels very purple to me. There's Mace Windu's lightsaber. And on a themes note, it's a mix between red and blue, dark and light. Purple can represent Anakin starting to turn dark.

Would love to hear thoughts on these. I am very much an amateur at photo editing, so they might be awful. I definitely plan to change them more in the future, but this was my first go.

Put together some posters for the Saga

The Last Jedi (2017) Dolby Cinema Poster

Not sure if this has already been done, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Got these boxes on my c5

This is a 77" LG C5. These squares are very faint and I didn't see them until I was playing a specific thing. Then did this oled screen test on Youtube and there they are clear as day. I tried pixel cleaning but that didn't do anything. Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I try and claim the warranty and get it repaired? I bought the TV open-box at Best Buy.

Mando & Grogu should've done this:

So I just recently watched the new Mandalorian & Grogu movie. It was very good. It had great visuals, breathtaking action, and a solid story. It wasn't breaking barriers or anything, but it was just a good time at the theatre. Which is all I expected from it.

My biggest issue with it though is that it doesn't fully feel like that much happened. Maybe I'm wrong, but the only real impact the events of the movie had was Rotta joining the New Republic. I mean, the Hutts are dealt with I guess and I would think that whole plotline is wrapped up. So I guess there's that, but it doesn't feel like it does much for the characters. Mando & Grogu's bond is strengthened, and Grogu has further proved his mettle and that he protects Mando as much and Mando protects him. But they don't change too much from where they are in the beginning of the film.

But during the movie they made me think we were finally going to see something which we've been wondering when it will happen for years. And that's Grogu's first words. Around the middle of the movie, Mando says, "He doesn't talk", referring to Grogu. And that immedietely made me think we were going to hear him speak for the first time at the end of the movie. And that would've definitely been a pretty big thing for this movie to do and would impact future stories quite a bit. It felt like the perfect time to do it too. Idk, I'm starting to feel like it's never going to happen.

That was the big thing that I wish they did, but I have one other thing that I would've really liked. And that would be an OT cameo. Specifically Han Solo. I know some probably don't like the endless cameos and all that, but I would've liked it for this movie in this time period. I just want to see more of the OT characters in this spot in the timeline and Han Solo would've made somewhat sense. I just would've had him flying the Falcon as part of the team that attacked Nal Hutta at the end. With all of his history with the Hutts I think it would've been pretty satisfying for him to have a hand in ending their grip on the underworld.

But that's pretty much it. Besides that, I really liked the movie. It's not my favorite or anything, but it was a damn good time.

Maul finale

Finished the Maul show and wow, what a finale.

>!I have to say though, this was definitely the worst show for online spoilers. So many things were posted immedietely online. Which, I mean, whatever. But all those sites that put spoilers on the cover and title of the article can actually go f*ck themselves. No regard for the audience at all. My favorite is the article of "how many Jedi Vader has killed" with Daki right on there. And of course Vader's appearance was spoiled to all hell, but whatever.!<

>!Still had a great time and was shocked by more than a few things. I just didn't expect literally everyone to die. Rook I was almost disappointed by. I really loved her dynamic with Maul. And this show had just started to make her interesting. But nope, dead. That's not bad on the show's part though, I just genuinely cared a bit about her.!<

>!And Lawson. Goddamn. Literally mid episode I was thinking, "it'll be fun to see what they do with him next season." And just like that he was gone. I think I jinxed his death into existence. His was the one I least expected. But yeah, they killed goddamn everyone.!<

>!But the action. My god, the action. It's peakest of peak.!<

I really badly want Maul in the third Jedi game

I mean come on. Please. I'm begging you. We've gotten Vader twice and I'm all good with a third time again, but please give us a Maul appearance. It fits the timeline perfectly.

I mean, maybe the fact that Maul's show is currently airing is why they don't do this. Don't want to step on each other's stories. But if the third game, like the second, is 5 years after the previous game, that wouls mean it's set around S1 of Rebels. So not too long before his appearance in Rebels. They could work something out.

So I've heard the argument from a lot of haters that balance, at it is described in TLJ, is not what Lucas had intended. In pre-Disney, it's that the light side *is* balance, and the dark side is a corruption of the balance. Ths doesn't really make too much sense to me because that wouldn't be using the word "balance" correctly, but whatever.

The thing I want to talk about here though is that I just rewatched the Mortis arc from Clone Wars. Which is a Lucas-era story that would've come from Lucas himself, unless I'm mistaken. In the first episode there, you have the scene where Anakin controls both the Son and Daughter, who represent dark and light. And they're standing on top of a giant yin yang symbol, which we see in the Prime Jedi mural in TLJ.

The father talks about maintaining balance by controlling both light and dark. And the dark side will corrupt, but that's tipping the scales of balance. The existence of the dark side is not a corruption, just when it tries to drown out the light.

This story just seems to line up incredibly well with how TLJ Luke describes the force and balance.

And this comes back to a personal philosophy that I hold, which is that sometimes it's good to be selfish and sometimes it's bad to be selfless. You have to maintain balance of each of those to be a fully-rounded person.

And the idea that the light side is balance and the dark side corrupts that just seems boring to me. And how is it balance if just one thing is balance? Balance is supposed to be between two or more things. In this supposed "original" definition of balance, what is the balance between? Why use the word "balance" in that case and not just "good" and "evil"?

She had found a good hiding space, and when we searched a bit tonight, she was poking the top of her head out. She's home safe and sound and with a very large bowl of food.
