How is Zoroastrianism not mentioned in the Bible?

This is a very "layperson question" but it feels very shocking to me how Zoroastrianism was not mentioned in either the old or new testament despite how much influence Zoroastrianism had on the development of monotheism in Jewish religion.

Is there any explanation how there's an absence of such a large religion during that time? Also, am I mistaken when it is mentioned?

Thank you in advance.

I have a deep suspicion that my mom won't come back until her husband passes away.

My mom married her husband and since covid he's taken her down the rabbit hole.

For the first several years, I assumed that my mom had one foot in reality and just tolerated his viewpoints but in the past few years, it feels like I see less and less of the mother who raised me. I really don't even know how to delineate at this point which are her own opinions and which opinions are his that she repeats.

Anyhow, for the first time today it feels like I finally admitted to myself that I don't believe that I'll get her back until he passes. They just recently purchased property in the middle of nowhere and plan to move there in the next several years and I really do believe that that move will be the nail in the coffin.

I don't know. It feels like I'm grieving someone who hasn't even passed away yet. And simultaneously, I do believe that if she were to spend a couple months away from her husband without any access to the internet, the old part of her would come back. Perhaps that's too optimistic, but I do think that she's still in there somewhere.

Best Joshua Tree Guide Book?

Hi All! Does anyone have a JTree guide book that you would be willing to recommend?

Also, not necessary but I would also love advice on where to purchase it so I can support local brick and mortar shops if possible. Thanks!

City subreddits are notoriously known to be negative. What are things that Denver is doing right or what do you love about this city?

Essentially the title. I'll begin by saying that I love the free RTD rides that we've done in August and our botanic garden absolutely rocks. Also, I feel like most people are generally pretty accommodating of others despite being a major city.

What's your personal favorite thing to do in Orange County?

Hi All! I grew in up in Orange County but have been living out of state for the last decade and have just moved back. With that being said, it means that this is my first time back here as an adult. And I feel like the things I loved to do as a kid feel less applicable to me as an adult.

I wanted to hear from locals who have suggestions on what to do. For example, my favorite thing when living in Denver was visiting the botanic gardens, but that wouldn't have have really hit the radar for tourists and I wanted to hear about gems from people who live here.

If you have restaurants or bars or breweries in mind as well, I would love to patronize your favorite spots!

Anyone know of ways I can shadow an anesthesiologist?

Hi All!

I know that this is a long shot but I was a public school teacher for my first career and am looking to apply to masters programs in the medical field. However, I need to shadow an anesthesiologist. I know that this is a long shot, but is there anyone in this sub who would either allow me to shadow them or know of avenues for where I can reach out to anesthesiologists?

Thank you so much in advance!

Are the arguments for objective morality and objective beauty coming from the same place?

I’m a philosophical layperson who believes in an objective morality but does not believe in objective beauty.

However it crossed my mind to wonder if this was a logical inconsistency from my stance.

Thanks in advance
