I use a 2007 Lenovo r61 with windows 7 as my daily

So as the title says I use a Lenovo r61 as my daily. I've had it for about 7 or 8 years now ,I use windows 7 on it and it runs great ....it's a little iffy with YouTube but still works ,I can surf the web ... download music ,burn cds ...amp works great ..but for the ram and or components ...does anybody have any recommendations for upgrades ..I have 2 Corsair sticks I might put in but is there anything else that would be good ( no I'm not switching to Linux I tried peppermint it was fun but shortlived)

Also anybody else using a r61 in 2026 if so what os are u running

I feel obselete.

I'm 25 male .- nothing special but I don't really know how to explain it but I feel like a shadow ,or I'm looking through a one way mirror at a world that really isn't there .....and every single thing I have I feel like I'm gonna lose it ..so I have to cherish it in some stupid way . the time feels long but never enough , everything I hold or touch genuinely feels like I'm gonna lose it ..I get attached to people so much that I do everything in my power not lose then which included the onsided friendship I'm in letting people walk over me , I'm always questioning,second guessing everything.. overthinking ,I mean it's so bad I overthink how people say hi , or how I said hi ..I'll repay the scenario in my head or even out loud on asking trying to figure out if I did something wrong ...over the word"hi".....not the sentence " I didn't like that" ...hi , like I'm some toddler who doesn't understand... , hell I am hate conflict so much that I'll agree and say yes to everything to not have people hate me ....if I know the word will be no or the chance of denial .....I'll avoid that conflict....but while I say this ..I've genuinely have become so hateful towards to people ...for no reason ..it has made my life easier ........has anyone felt like this

i am still using the most hated windows

so im using windows 8 on my hp pavilion 500 desktop , and honestly...its not great but its not bad ...its just something that works , im not here to slap a pole down and be like "yall are wrong windows 8 is great , it deserves no hate " because that truly goes to windows vista .

windows 8 deserves the criticisms it got but considering what windows has turned into , it honestly isn't that bad ...its smooth ,works ,boots fast ,has almost no lag , and has a low amount of bloat ware (at least my version). in fact Im using it right now to make this post ,watch YouTube and burn A windows 7 professional disc for my hp pavillion g4 which is my daily laptop

ps. im not saying run out and make windows 8 ur daily computer ...no it still sucks compared to vista xp and 10 not 11 ..11 sucks ..I'd rather use windows me

question- what's your views on windows 8

Figured you lads might get a kick out of this ,this is my desktop Dell xps2010 still running well after 20 years ,and running Windows 10 ...and it's gonna be my only desktop as long as I have a day ,most of the internals aren't changed besides the ram which is upgraded with period correct corsair sticks .hope y'all enjoyed me sharing my beloved
