Should Coca-Cola bring back Cherry Coke Officially into Australia again?

Would love to hear if CocaCola Australia should reintroduce Cherry Coke back into Australia again. They did attempt this and it failed but I think they went too hard. Let it be a side drink like mmm raspberry or lemon something. Let it gain its stripes and regain its rightful position as a premium flavour in Australia no more imports.

Do parents take enough responsibility for their kids in Bunnings?

I’m interested in what other team members and customers think about this.

I regularly see kids running through the store, pushing trolleys around and treating the aisles like a playground. I’ve also seen several children piled into one trolley, often standing or sitting where they shouldn’t be.

Then there are the indoor play areas. The screaming can become so loud that my Apple Watch warns me the noise level has exceeded 90 dB. That isn’t pleasant for customers or team members working nearby for hours.

Parents should take responsibility for their children’s behaviour and safety. But should Bunnings team members also step in when kids are running around, misusing trolleys or creating a safety risk?

I understand that staff may hesitate because challenging parents can quickly lead to an argument or complaint. However, ignoring unsafe behaviour doesn’t seem like a good answer either.
What happens at your store?

Are team members expected to speak to the parents, call a manager, or leave it alone?

Bunnings & Dogs - yes or no?

I wanted to kick this topic off because it started popping up in another thread, so it probably deserves one of its own.

First up, I'm a dog person. I absolutely love my two little horror dogs, and they're a big part of my life.

Like many things, it's the small number of owners who ruin it for everyone else.

On the positive side, I enjoy seeing dogs in store. When they're sitting in a trolley with a towel or cardboard underneath, they add a friendly atmosphere. If I see one without anything underneath, I'll politely suggest the owner put something down.

The problems start with the owners who think the rules don't apply to them.

I've seen dogs off lead because the owner says, "Don't worry, my dog's perfect." I've had to clean up dog poo after owners simply walked away. We've had dogs wandering the store while staff stopped what they were doing to help catch them. And, of course, there's the issue of male dogs marking anything vertical.

I think if Bunnings is going to continue allowing dogs, there should be a few basic requirements:

  • Dogs must be on a lead or safely restrained in a trolley.
  • Owners should carry poo bags and be expected to clean up after their dog.
  • Staff shouldn't be responsible for cleaning up after customers' pets.

I heard some stores tried providing free poo bags, but people apparently took entire rolls, so that idea didn't last long.

I'm interested to hear what others think. How it could work?

Should Bunnings continue allowing dogs, tighten the rules, or ban them altogether?

Please keep it civil. I'm genuinely interested in hearing different views.

Has customer behaviour changed in Bunnings?

After spending time in Bunnings, one thing has become hard to ignore: the amount of damaged stock caused by customers.

I’m talking about ripped boxes, opened packaging, products removed from their packaging, items dumped in random aisles and goods that become difficult or impossible to sell because someone wanted a closer look and couldn’t be bothered putting things back properly.

It makes me wonder if customer behaviour has changed over the years. There seems to be a growing attitude that “someone else will deal with it.” The result is wasted stock, untidy shelves and extra work for staff who are already busy helping customers.

Most shoppers are respectful, but it only takes a small percentage of people treating the store as if it doesn’t matter for the effect to become obvious.
I’m interested to hear from others.

Have you noticed this becoming more common, or do you think it’s always been this way? Sorry one more thing. Globes. Why do customers have to take a normal everyday globes like the b22 or e27 socket and touch it? then put it back and get a new box. All the info is on the box and its a mainly 2 sockets. Ok, I’ll take a breath now.

Be gentle, I’m just venting.
