Should I be worried

I recently put an OSight SE on my shield plus and even though it sits pretty nice and low and cowitness, but I think the cut on the front two holes are either too small or shallow that resulted this?

It’s not completely “gap-less” on the slide in the front. It sits pretty tight in the back. I’m hesitant to take it to a range yet because I don’t wanna be that guy whose red dot is getting sent down range.

I’ve never had this issue before. Am I good to go or I should do something about this?

Got my Shield Plus

Posted here a couple days ago about a Savior bag deal, but soon after I saw a better deal lol so I bought the gun because I wanted a new EDC. $489 + tax and SF comes with the gun with a dot mounted, a really really nice range bag, and 4 mags. Not a huge fan of the Viridian dot but it’s good enough for now.

Fired only 200 rounds right after I got the gun today and I loved everything about it. Perhaps the smoothest shooting micro 9mm I’ve shot. Less snappy than the hellcat and better ergo than G43x. I’d say it’s right up there with the P365 X-macro.

For the price you really can’t beat the value.

Good price? - Shield Plus OR

I don’t keep tabs on shield plus’ price but recently I’ve been looking for a new EDC because my old Beretta APX A1’s trigger starts to really get on my nerves.

I came across this on gun.deals and was amazed by how cheap it is for the whole package - 6 mags AND optic ready? Say no more. But wanna check with you guys and see if this is a good price. Like I will get it even if it’s just a regular price. Because sub $500 for this deal is just crazy. My FFL charges $25 for transfer so all in all it still wouldn’t be too bad.

Thanks!

4” can on a 16” barrel?

Is there a point in putting a 4” can on a full 16” length barrel? My goal is not to make my AR too long but still having a can for a modest noise deduction and acts as a flash hider. That’s why I want to go with a 4” can.

But like is there a point since the can will be so short? How will it perform? Anyone had any experience on 4” K can before?

Thanks!

Family of 4 Starting on 2 Acres of Raw Land – What Will the Real Cost Be?

Hi everyone,

My wife and I are seriously considering buying about 2 acres of raw land in northern AZ and having a manufactured house built for our family of five (2 adults, 2 young kids, and a GSP). We’re still in the early planning phase and trying to understand what the real costs look like beyond just buying the land and the house.

Current numbers:
Raw land: ~$80,000
Manufactured home: ~$95,000
No existing utilities on the property
Plan is to live in my camper on the property while everything is being developed and installed

What I’m struggling to estimate are all the “hidden” costs that come after buying the land and house.

Things I’m thinking about:
Land clearing
Driveway installation
Site grading
Foundation for the manufactured home
Delivery and setup of the home
Septic system
Well drilling (or water storage if no well)
Power (grid connection vs solar)
Propane tank

For those who have done this before:
What was your total all-in cost from raw land to move-in ready?
If you started with an $80k piece of raw land and a ~$95k manufactured home, what would you realistically budget for the entire project?
Did you live in an RV/camper during construction? If so, what challenges did you run into that you didn’t anticipate?
If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?
My rough guess is that the project could end up anywhere between $220k and $350k+, depending on utilities and how much work is DIY, but I’m curious whether I’m being overly optimistic or overly pessimistic.

I’d love to hear real-world numbers and lessons learned from people who have actually gone from raw land to a livable homestead.

Thanks a bunch!

[Rifle] Ruger Harrier (Magpul Furniture) - $540 + S/H ($25)

Personally I think this is a great deal, the only problem I have is that I’ve never heard of or purchased from this website. Kind of wanna run this by the community here and see if you guys have had any experience with this website here. I’ve been eyeing on the Harrier since they came out.

Not sure if there’ll be some more discounts during the Fourth of July sale or not, especially with this year being 250 anniversary and all.

But this is legit the lowest price point I’ve seen for this AR with the magpul furniture model.

Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

Would y’all call this a deal/steal

Saw this Ruger Harrier with the Magpul DT buttstock going for sub $600. Never really paid attention to this model but did some research and saw some people love this gun.

So for people who know if this is a good deal, please lmk and I might get myself one of these.

Thanks!

Been wanting to get one of these AR556 8500 model but haven’t had the chance yet.

I feel like these days most sellers sell this gun for above $700 so when I saw this I want to jump right on.

Should I do more research or this is actually a good price? I want a fixed A2 post M4 style rifle anyways so might as well? What do you guys think?
