Missing cat Vleutenseweg

—- she has been found!! ——

Hi! I am posting this for a family member. Did anyone see this cat perhaps? She is missing since monday to tuesday night. She is an indoor cat, and lived on the first floor, so she might be hurt after falling on the pavement.

Link is in the comments.

Edit: additional info

Broken front panel Exo Terra Pro Paludarium Medium X-Tall 60x45x90

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a second hand Exo Terra Pro Paludarium Medium X-Tall 60x45x90 with the front panel broken under the doors. I siliconed it shut, but rather replace the glass fully. I was wondering if anyone has repaired this before, and can tell me how to do it, and what the glass size is for replacement. I dont know if the metric and imperial are identical in sizes of the glass, or that there are small differences. Regardless I wanted to ask. Thank you beforehand!

I've been building a sourced, central info hub for emerald tree skinks. It's finally up and I'd like people to pick holes in it

I would like to share my recent hyperfixation next to my dayjob: https://www.emeraldtreeskinks.eu

I started this a while back because the information on this species sits scattered across care sheets, a handful of field papers and a lot of individual keeper posts. I wanted one place where you can see where each number came from.

While I was working on it, some really good documents got posted here. u/RutabagaNo9655's consolidated care guide pointed me to write the UVB sections with more detail, and u/RobHerpTX's observations about his animals having a daily social window, and asking to come out even when they were too full to eat. Both are in there as sources ofcourse. I actually planned to post this today, then sat up most of last night reading and adding u/RutabagaNo9655's guide in properly, because putting it live just after it would feel weird for me. It still does, but I really wanted something like this.

The rule throughout is that you can always see where something came from. Papers get named. Anything resting on a care sheet or on keeper experience says so, and where two sources disagree I've left both in rather than splitting the difference to make it sound more settled than it is. This species is badly under-studied. Plenty of the husbandry is just accumulated keeper experience and I'd sooner admit that than dress it up.

But back to the website because this is where I need you all a lot!

I do biology and metabolism research for a living, so papers are the part I'm fine with. I'm about a year in, three animals with a fourth on the way. If the sourcing looks solid but something on there contradicts what your own animals actually do, that's the gap I can't close by myself. There's a corrections page and I'll credit anyone who fixes something. Additionally I am currently also writing up grants to actually study the species as my post doctorate project. So the more I learn the better!

There's also a chunk on the Home Assistant setup running my terrarium (for who is just as crazy as me with going tech overboard), which was honestly half the reason I started writing any of this down. I am currently making up the repo so that you all can implement it more easily than my last 11 months of figuring it out. It is build so the lights and misting track the real weather in the Solomons rather than a schedule I made up, and a controller works out how much each misting cycle actually shifts each zone and corrects itself. It also learns the drying rate of the terrarium and adjusts the spraying durations to that.

Additionally I keep track of my own lineages on there and since babies will come in the future, I will also place them on there. Maybe in the future that it can also function as a hub for keeping tack of some of the lineages of breeders and some sort of market place for the species (which will require alot more effort haha).

Note: My post is not intended as a branded post since I am not a registered company to sell them now. The main purpose is to make sure the species set up a knowledge, natural housing, and responsible breeding information database, in case admins disagree I will adjust with adding a tag
