Stumped again

So I thought the whole point with roasteries having these garage sales "sales" were to put these bags of coffee that they did not sell and since they are well rested to sell them at the same price ?? I thought garage sale, that would mean that the coffee was not only pre rested, but also on a small amount of money off the bag? f I thought these were coffees that they're really trying to clear out. Then why aren't they giving us a small amount off on these bags thus called a garage sale.. It's like the bait and switch game ? Or which pea is under the three nuts. 🫪

,please, I can do without any sarcasm. Thank you

8 cup & can't get it clean & fruity

Hi, everyone I haven't used m x in decades but I did purchase an eight cop because i'm trying to brew forty eight grams to fifty grams coffees. My problem is I am used to having very clean, fruity coffee's. I stopped using Orea because it left my coffee's. Oh, just super balanced with no expression in it and i'm finding the chemex seems to be the same. All muted together with no differentiate flavors. Way to bland. Should I grind much courser And come down on the temperature, on my ethiopians in colombians? Or is that just the type of Brewer wrap? The coffee presents a much more blended, even out taste ? Please give me your suggestions. Alright, we'll just have to return this one :/

Why can't smaller gram brews taste good?

Hello, all so I have been making pourover, Espresso, what the hell all coffees for almost three decades now, well close. I always make larger brews that are around 27g grams V60 or larger that would be made in a Chemex. I use Great beans, great water. Great equipment. That's why I can't for the life of me figure it out. why my 15g-18g tastes terrible! When I first got into coffee, I tried the small chemex, now a V60.Med.grind,197°,1:16.67. Light medium roast.PLEASE CAN ANYONE GET ME A GOOD CUP 😪

Which V60 do you prefer between glass and metal only !

I have been told that the glass V60 is better than the Metal V60. I'm not including plastics, because I prefer not to brew with them although I know they're the best choice. So is there a difference in the TASTE only glass VS metal ?

🧐 How to retrofit a temperature gauge on a stainless steel Chemex Chettle stovetop kettle

Hi, i just purchased a stove top Chemex kettle. I always liked the way it felt in my hand and poured. The problem is I thought it wouldn't be so hard without a gauge to show the temperature. Because I'm not a fan of boiling taking it off and Waiting a bit and then making the coffee. I don't think it's accurate enough, especially using a medium roast to a extra light roast that being said i have some temperature gauges, but some of the stems are too short, and not so accurate and a bad shape.. Can someone please suggest a good temperature gauge where I could drill a hole either in the metal top or possibly through the middle and keep it stationary on the unit. I also dislike putting it in on the side with the top half off! Have any of you done this with great success ??

V60 folks. Do you notice ⁉️

While using a V60 large size, i have the glass I have the plastic, which I prefer not to use the plastic for health reasons, and now I bought the metal titanium. I keep trying to follow Vincent on tails Coffee recipes. He mostly uses the metal V60, but for some reason I cannot get my recipes that were perfect now Tasting bitter and quite off. It barely has any of unique taste of my coffee. They are really tasting bad. so the question is ☆☆ do any of you find a big difference in the metal brewer compared to ceramic ,plastic, or any other cone brewers in taste ❓️not in timing with the drawdown, this is only about taste. Can the metal or titanium? Make the coffee taste that terrible :/

Hot & not heavy 😆

Best smallish thermal decanter to keep coffee warm. A lot of them cool off too quickly. Maybe an hour or so . The harrio looks nice, but it's metal and metal alone does not keep coffee warm ?

V60 BEST FIT FILTER

Hi, all I have been using both the V60 switch, which I have the filters from hario which is a 4-6 cup white and V60 3-4 cup white by cafec with the orange writing on it, I think it's the. Regular? I'm really getting tired of folding the sides for it to fit. And even the cafec does not fit my brewer walls at all alot of air leading for bypass. What filters are all of you V60 folks. using. ? I'm due to buy both filters again and I would prefer not to buy the same if there's something better.

Brewers that will have a more consistent cups almost every time ⁉️ my dial in was perfect.

Been using orea in all sizes for years, and 1 day my cup will be amazing in the next day Same everything completely dialed in and it's awful ! I like mostly lighter rose with fruitier notes. Is there another brewer that I will get better results from? Is it because of the flat bottom, orea ??

UPDATED BEANS RESTING TIMES FOR 2026

My old chart for resting beans I think might have changed. I purchased about five bags from different places and a lot of them are saying 4 to 6 & 8 weeks rest. When my naturals used to be around 4, weeks and washed around 2,3 weeks. Anaerobics 4,6 weeks. Most of my beans are probably a semi medium roast. I do think these bags though. I have are a light well what they consider a light roast. YOUR advice maybe my chart is best for medium and 4,6 weeks for light ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Light roast nowhere on bag or site !

Hi All, i am a fairly seasoned coffee enthusiast. I'm super frustrated that I do not have total transparency when trying to find only light roasted coffee. It is not on the bags and it is not on there site. I don't feel like calling them and having them be offended. But I don't want medium dark roast anymore. If you have any ideas, please know sarcasm and along with a list of mostly light roasted roasters i would be oh so grateful. Thank you

Treatments & treatment centers

I have been very ill with this and other health problems for over 2 decades. I am pretty much bedridden. I know there is no cure and I have never been to an actual treatment center. Although I was suggested one from I think it was Cleveland clinic. Are one of those big hitter hospitals. My problem with that is I'm not okay to go to a center. And have them have me do exercising and this other type of stuff. When i'm too ill to practically leave my home. Has anyone been to the centers? I feel like it might be a money Maker. Type thing for them. Because they know there is no cure but I think they're trying to along with. Give medicine, put your head in a good space endorphins, wise. Has anyone gone to actual centers for this and not participated in exercise and meditation? And all that other stuff?? It might be okay for some people, but it is definitely would not work for me. Again? I'm just curious about the actual dysautonomia. Centers. Thank you all in advance

Does grinding beans while frozen change the actual grind size out compared to thawed out beans ? ** To me it kind of makes sense that it could grind a bit finer?

So I've been making all types of brews. As for my pourover I started with a chemex, years later than a V60, another few years to a Kalita wave, add a couple extra years to a Orea with different models, and NOW back to the chemex.....

***Anyone else have you circled around the block A few times to the first thing you originally started with ? ***

I'd love to hear ❓️‼️ ⁉️
