Should we be nervous about Simon Edvinsson not signing yet?

I know an offer was tendered but I haven't seen anything saying it was signed. I might have missed it but a quick search doesn't show much either.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he had an offer sheet tendered but hasn't decided on it yet, or is using it as leverage without actually signing it.
Either way, I really hope we don't lose him, particularly right as our d-core is finally dialed in.

Larkins impact on the locker room if he doesn't get traded?

I don't see any way that he won't be a poison pill. How can a team rally behind someone who had said publicly that he doesn't want to be there?

I'm not saying he won't play hard, I'm asking if the "intangibles" that are going to be negative.

All players reassigned by alphabetical order

Used the last game played for each teams, broke up goalies and players, and reassigned them in alphabetical order by first name.

How much say do you think McLellan has on the captaincy?

This is less about *who* is getting leadership and more on the HC\GM relationship of selecting a Captain.
The GM will want to select someone who can represent the org well, but we know McLellan has a non-zero amount of say on leadership assignments.

McLellan made a statement last season on the As.

"When I got here last year, I knew Larkin was the captain but we had six, seven rotating (alternates) and I didn’t even know who wore them on any given night," McLellan said, "We're Original Six. All my years here there was clear definition of who was going to (wear the A). But that didn’t prevent -  when Nik Kronwall was a younger player or whoever else was around that group.
Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby, they didn’t wear A's, but they led."

"That's what we’re going with." Source

I completely agree with his statement, rotating As feel like a group is finding its core, not that it has one established.
But with Larkin moving, the entire leadership could be shuffled. I doubt it will change too much but it could.

Who should the new leadership be? The obvious choice is Mo for C and Raymond keeps the A

But who else? Traditionally, 2 As and 1 C is how things seem to roll, with at least 1 leader on the defense and offense. With a letter on each side of the bench already between Sieder and Raymond, the new A is open.

I'm leaning Debrincat.

If Kasper gets out of his slump and kicks ass this season, I could see him with a letter later, but not this season. The way people talk about him and his mindset during games, it tends to be very complimentary.

"You know, Megaman has like, a billion magical girl transformations." "Well that's a cursed way of looking at it."

After playing MM9 for the Nth time, watching protoman turn while getting the new weapon just screams "Sailor Moon" to me.
