PODIUM PEDALS BACK IN STOCK

PODIUM PEDALS BACK IN STOCK

A LOT of you messaged me after the initial (very limited) release saying you missed out, so here's your chance to pick them up.

They tell me there is more stock this time, but they still expect "units to move quickly". Could be a FOMO trigger from marketing, or they might genuinely have quite limited stock again.

Note that there have been a few changes this time around. This batch WON'T include free GT-Style pedal plates.

Also note there will be a new 2 Pedal set "Podium Pedals Sport" available at the end of September which will come with aluminium pedal pads instead of the more expensive carbon fibre ones.

Pricing will be as follows:
599.99 USD
599.95 EUR
950 AUD
100000 JPY

So if you're like me and don't care for the carbon pads, you'd be better to wait until then.

Apparently the 3 Pedal Set and seperate clutch upgrade is expected to be available in October.

BOOSTED MEDIA REVIEW - PlaySeat Challenge DD F1 Edition

https://boostedmedia.net/sim-racing/hardware-reviews/playseat/playseat-challenge-dd-f1-edition-detailed-review/

The PlaySeat Challenge DD F1 Edition is a folding tube-frame cockpit designed to be strong enough for modern direct drive wheelbases and load cell pedals, while still being practical enough to fold away, adjust between driving positions, and hand off between different drivers.

On paper, that’s a compelling combination, so we put it to the test in assembly, adjustment, and driving, to see whether it holds up to it’s claims in the real world.

BOOSTED MEDIA REVIEW - Triples vs. VR in 2026

https://boostedmedia.net/sim-racing/hardware-type/vr-headsets/vr-vs-triple-screens-for-sim-racing/

VR versus triple screens has been one of sim racing’s biggest debates for as long as I can remember. VR gives you true depth perception and the feeling of sitting inside the car. Triples are easier to live with, easier to use with physical controls, and still extremely effective when set up properly.

The reason this is worth revisiting in 2026 is that high-end VR has improved a lot. Better resolution, better optics and lighter headsets have addressed many of the issues that used to push people back to monitors.

But this still is not a simple case of one being better than the other. The right choice depends on your space, PC hardware, comfort with VR, and how you actually use your rig.

For this guide, we thoroughly tested the latest high-end headsets from Bigscreen and Pimax to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and who they are best suited to.

BOOSTED MEDIA REVIEW - FANATEC Podium Pedals

https://boostedmedia.net/sim-racing/hardware-reviews/fanatec/fanatec-podium-pedals-detailed-review/

Fanatec’s Podium range has had a very obvious gap in it for a long time. Ever since the company split its sim racing hardware into CSL, ClubSport and Podium tiers, there has been a clear space waiting for a true flagship pedal set to sit alongside its high-end wheelbases and wheels.

That gap has finally been filled with the Fanatec Podium Pedals!

We have spent countless hours putting them through the full review process, covering build quality, mounting, software, adjustability, throttle feel, brake feel, and plenty of driving time across different cars and sims to find their true strengths and weaknesses.

What quickly becomes clear is that these are not simply a more expensive version of Fanatec’s existing pedals. They follow a different philosophy. The Podium Pedals are clearly aimed at committed and competitive sim racers who have the time and skill to master this style of pedal.

But despite being “Alien Spec” pedals out of the box, there is more to the story, because a very simple change could open these pedals up to a much wider audience.

BOOSTED MEDIA REVIEW - Simagic Zeus Formula, GT & Sport

https://boostedmedia.net/sim-racing/hardware-reviews/simagic/simagic-zeus-formula-gt-sport-detailed-review/

Simagic’s Zeus Series is one of the more interesting steering wheel launches we have seen recently, not just because there are three new wheels, but because of the way the whole system is intended to work.

The lineup includes the Zeus Formula, Zeus GT, and Zeus Sport. Each one targets a different type of driving, but they are all built around the same core idea: modularity. You can buy the wheels with or without Simagic’s MagicDash 4 display, and if you own more than one Zeus wheel, you don’t need to buy a separate dash for each one. The display can be removed from one wheel and dropped into another.

That is a genuinely useful idea. Wheel-mounted displays can add a lot to the experience, especially for formula, prototype, and GT-style driving, but they also add cost. Being able to buy one dash and share it across multiple wheels makes a lot of sense.

The catch is that the Zeus ecosystem is not as simple as the concept sounds. Between the MagicDash 4, MagLink Pro, MagLink Pro Xtend, AirLink, MagDock, Alpha bases, Alpha EVO bases, third-party wheelbases, USB connection options, and SimHub support, there is quite a lot to understand before you buy.

So the real question is not just whether the Zeus wheels are good to drive. They are. The more important question is whether the modular ecosystem makes sense for your rig.

Let's take a look!

Would you like proper Sim Rig support in Forza Horizon 6? Here's your chance...

Forza Horizon 6 has already broken records and is proving to be one of the popular racing games ever made. While past titles have been heavily arcade focussed, FH6 is actually really enjoyable on a proper sim rig with a wheel, pedals, shifter and handbrake as a break from more intense simulation focussed titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, etc.

But unfortunately, lack of native hardware support is holding it back! While more advanced setups have become increasingly common across sim racing, Forza Horizon 6 disappointingly still lacks support for most mid to high end Sim Racing hardware, as well as VR or native multi-monitor support, forcing players to rely on stretched displays, incorrect field of view scaling, or unsupported workarounds that massively compromise the experience.

With Forza Horizon 6 pushing racing games forward visually and technically, the community is asking Playground Games and Xbox to finally add VR and proper perspective corrected triple screen support, as well as more advanced hardware for dedicated sim racing and immersive PC setups.

This community petition is intended to demonstrate the level of demand for native triple screen support in Forza Horizon 6 from racing game players around the world.

Fanatec's new Wheel Hub is an intersting one... It gives Fanatec wheelbase owners a far cheaper genuine way to enable Force Feedback for 3rd party wheels, but it also feels like a solution to a problem that they created. Let's unpack it in more detail.

Fanatec’s Formula wheels have been revised so many times now that they have become a running joke. For years, sim racers have been asking for a more substantial step forward, particularly a Formula wheel with a SimHub-compatible colour display.

That is what makes the ClubSport Formula V3 such an interesting release.

At first glance, it is easy to look at this wheel and feel a little underwhelmed. It is not the big, all-new Formula wheel many people had hoped for. Instead, what Fanatec has delivered here is another revision of a very familiar concept.

But that does not automatically make it a bad update.

Once you get past that initial reaction, there are some genuinely worthwhile changes here. The larger display is the obvious one, but more importantly, Fanatec has addressed some of the practical usability issues that have followed these wheels around for years.

So the real question with the ClubSport Formula V3 is not whether it is the wheel everybody was dreaming of. It is whether these changes are enough to make it meaningfully better where it actually counts.
