As legend has it, after celebrating the finale of Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan jumped into Rhea Seehorn's car and grabbed two random actors to talk about a cool idea he had, which later became Pluribus...

My take on the painting

(Spoilers for the basic plot)

I think the painting ultimately becomes a symbol for Carols inevitable dependence on the hive mind, and the unavoidable impossibility for indepedence in general. While the painting itself could have some plot element of the show attached to it, I think its mostly associated with how Carol wants some connection instead of staying in isolation, even if that means she has to make herself vulnerable and bullshit herself, which ends up becoming an even deeper rabbit hole. The colors are also used well, blue representing the hive, and for white, I've come to the conclusion that it represents vulnerability, loss of control, giving up (kind of like raising the white flag, like when Carol writes 'come back' in white paint while wearing white so they can see from the white cloudy sky) and also for the comfort the hive provides and the way they make things easier and more accessible. However, replacing a replica of the painting with the original says to me that deep inside of her, she knows the hive are only trying to appeal human, so by grabbing the original, its like Georgia O'Keeffe painted it just for Carol, allowing her to feel some actual human connection through art.

Which relationship do you think was more toxic?

I'm stuck on this. What do you guys think?

(Spoilers for Better Call Saul)

Kim and Jimmy loved each other, but their bond was ultimately the reason for their downfall and the main toxicity of their relationship which affected both of them in a emotionally gutwrenching way, even though Jimmy didn't quite seem like it, he hid all of his emotions under the alias of Saul.

(Spoilers for Pluribus)

I think their relationship was more toxic towards Carol. Her realizing they want to assimilate her probably fucked her up really bad, and also the fact that she ignored how they valued her as much as an ant. I'm not gonna start listing every way this was really weird, because its debatable whether or not they were (and are) actively trying to manipulate Carol, but you get the picture. I think we can agree its not a healthy relationship.

(Edit: I dont know why this got posted twice)

Can anyone tell me what episode this scene is from?

I vividly remember a scene where Walt and Skyler are having breakfast without Jr. and they hear something at the door. As soon as Walt gets up to investigate, Hank breaks down the door constantly yelling "I am the rooster! I am the rooster!" as he zigzags his way around Walter, before breaking through the sliding glass door and jumping in the pool.

I think its in season 2. Am I stupid?

Is this supposed to be a beard?

It sure looks like it but we later see everyone in his dimension also has it. So is the dimension this Jerry is from the dimension where everyone has this kind of beard or the dimension where everyone looks like they have a beard, when in reality its something else?

(Explaining myself: I accidentally called the 5 o'clock shadow a beard. Excuse me. I was asking if the joke was that everyone in this Jerry's dimension had the 5 o'clock shadow like a genetic thing or we were lead to believe that that Jerry just happened to have it, before realizing it wasnt a 5 o'clock shadow because everybody in his dimension had it, but rather something that looked like it.)

Symbolism behind this shot?

https://preview.redd.it/c1zj7kig934h1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=1201ccfb3de771685cf7aaad5c8ecff916575838

I've always loved this shot and had a feeling it must be symbolic, but I could never put my finger on it. So I'm asking for your takes on it. I too have a bit of a take;

For me it works as a subtle callback to 50% Off. In that episode, the whole 50% off thing is almost like Jimmy/Saul is losing the Jimmy side of him, so getting to literally see one side of him feels like in this shot, we see the Jimmy McGill side of him, and the reflection is saying to us that he's hiding Saul away and Jimmy is taking over in this quiet moment because he's alone and doesn't have to put on a show for anyone. Also, the hair reminds me of the letter M, like the Wexler-McGill thing, which symbolizes his ultimate downfall, as in his nature not allowing him to stay on top for very long.

A parallel of shots

Very similar situations going on. Chuck making important decisions, not letting himself trust someone who he's supposed to be partners with. Cant tell if its intentional because the episodes are so far apart. S1E8 RICO and S3E9 Fall.

Took me like 3 watches to realize this

In episode 1, Helen says:

>"'Oh! How I hate all those paying customers, showering me with love and respect and- why do I have to make so much money? WAAAA.' How do you bear it?"

This is kind of like foreshadowing, since Carol doesn't like the hive "showering her with love and respect", BUT Zosia also steals this as a way to flirt with Carol in episode 8;

>"Oh! You poor, tortured artist!"

This line also comes after Zosia asks Carol a question about writing; "What's the best day you had writing?" Which is in contrast with Helen's "How do you bear it?", another question about writing.
