They finally started rough housing and it’s so cute. The husky will get down on the ground and lay there so the smaller pup can “get” him 😭💕
He loves tearing up boxes and yoga blocks (and cuddling duckies)
She bolted out the door unexpectedly and I live in a neighborhood right near Walmart. The worst happened and she bolted out towards Plank Road, luckily towards Central Park instead of up towards the Gabe’s/mall area. All of the drivers immediately stopped when they saw her, some even parked sideways and got out of their car to prevent oncoming traffic.
3 or 4 people joined me in the chase and keeping an eye on her. One driver pulled up and got her to jump into her car. She is safely home.
Thank you! Thank you so much. This happened one prior time when I lived in a different area and no one stopped, no one helped at all and many people kept driving almost hitting her. She is just a little husky mix and she wants to run, she loves being chased. She doesn’t know the danger of roads.
We’re working on recall and off leash training obviously but again, thank you for anyone that helped or even just stopped driving to let her safely cross.
I give him warm baths to soothe his muscles and calm him down. He loves the blow dryer and falls asleep to it.
It really is like having a toddler again. 7am wide awake, gotta use the bathroom and eat breakfast. Warm bath, then 3 hours of play + controlled chaos (I let him have an old box to tear up and he loves it). By 11am it’s nap time with his dog relaxation video/music of course.
I’m sure by 1ish he will be wide awake and ready to go again. (I’ll be lucky if he naps that long honestly)
I do plan on getting a dna test, I don’t assume he is purebred. However I’m just wondering if your husky’s grew a lot after 1? Did they stay the same size? I’m happy either way, although I do love being able to just scoop him up and carry him like a baby lol.
We’ve only been riding for a few days, he actually behaves better in the trailer than he does in a car. He is sort of restless in the car. If it’s a bumpy ride he will sit up but otherwise he loves laying down and enjoying his chariot ride. I’m going to customize the trailer to have more things comfort wise for him.
He was described as a mini husky and likely not to get much bigger. He is 25 lb and tall, while I’d say he is smaller than a typical 1 year old male husky I wouldn’t say he is anywhere near Klee Kai size. What does everyone think he’s mixed with?
My other husky chihuahua mix girl is near him for size comparison, she is 30 lb but shorter. I don’t really see much else aside from husky in him, maybe he has a weird longer snout (it’s kinda long in person, but he may just still have a big puppy face).
Maybe shepherd for the color considering my other mix has a little GSD with that sort of coloring.
Pluto is a 1 year old rescued from a mini husky breeding/hoarding operation. He has almost no house manners but is settling in well, gentle redirection works great and he is already doing good with crate training. He is all goof and play, mixed in with loving cuddles.
Pluto doesn’t understand how to not pee on himself or his legs. That’s ok, I’ve seen grown men not be able to figure that out. He’s ravenous but not a resource guarder. I’m not sure he is “mini husky” he is 25 lb so small for a 1 year old male but I predict he will probably just be a “small for his age and gender” husky not a mini lol.
Anyways I love him and he is spoiled.
Winnie is a husky chihuahua mix and Pluto is unknown, rescued from a breeder of “mini husky’s”.
He doesn’t necessarily look like a “mini husky” as described online (he was rescued from a backyard breeder) but I love him anyways. He’s settling right in and bringing out the old lady in my 5 year old girl lol. At 1 year old, he’s still very playful and enjoys chewing.
