My three grandparents' results :)

Three of my grandparents immigrated from Italy and one grandparent immigrated from England (all came to Canada in the 1960s).

I'm not able to test my paternal grandfather, but after doing my family tree, I found out he and my paternal grandmother are about 5th cousins (✿◡‿◡). I also did the family tree of my maternal grandfather... his village was very tiny and his ancestry is riddled with incest! At one point the closest it got was first cousins.

I do not turn a blind eye to the actions of my ancestors but this whole journey has led me to realize we're ALL COUSINS BABEY!

Can you understand my grandmother's Italian?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to understand something my grandmother said to me today (she is from Italy, specifically Castelforte in Latina province).

We were cleaning her yard, and she said something that I understood as "Metta lo dendro chella bag." She said this just after I had pulled a dying plant out of the ground and she pointed to one of those paper lawn bags. I guess it means "Put the branch in the bag," but I'm not sure.

Did I even hear the sentence correctly? My dictionary doesn't have "dendro" or "chella," are they dialect words?

Grazie~

Shorts in-store but not online?

Hello all! I'm from Canada where we don't have Marks and Spencer. I recently came back from a trip to England where I found these shorts I like, but they didn't have my size.

I told myself I'd find them online and use some kind of package forwarding service, but I can't even find them on the UK website! 🥲

Am I missing something or do I just lack the ability to find/recognize the shorts online? Could someone help me find them please? (For context, they were in the men's section).
