I'm a big fan of sauntering - the act of walking without direction or aim, to just simply walk and experience. I decided to spend 4th of July sauntering around parts of Providence, Rhode Island, while I am here working.

Doing some research about Northern Ireland I’d love to get some perspective on life away from Belfast and Derry, and the surrounding area. It seems as though most of the news and reading that I’ve done surrounds Belfast or Derry. I’d like to know more!
Just acquired Stamford Raffles for the first time. Unsure what city-state to use him on. Should I leave the citystates alone that have bonuses I like (Aukland for its +prod on coastal)? What's the strategy?
It's a nice feeling. It's really easy to just heap onto the dumpster fire that a lot of these situations can be, but its a pleasure when you get to write a letter for student who actually crushed it, who actually deserves it, and you'd actually hang your name on backing them.

End of the semester seems to bring some of the most bizarre of experiences. So many grandparents dying, so many scholarships/grants/loans on the line that "just need..."
The chair going on vacation and dropping an email Sunday night to let everyone know they'll be unavailable was a new one though.
Anyone have something better?
I'm so baffled they're here. They don't know anything. They don't have any background knowledge. They have poor vocabularies. They don't have tertiary understanding of things.
I'm confused with how many students don't know what "journalism" is.
I'm amazed by how unperceptive they are. If it's not the thing directly in their face, they cannot pick out what they should be looking for.
