Bruh I swear trying to meet people online rn is actual hell.

Opened my DMs thinking maybe I'd find someone real. Nope. Not even close. Just cringey pickup lines and dudes only trying to smash tbh.

Been spending hours every night going through that bs and I'm lowkey drained. App filters don't do shit fr. Can't tell who's serious and who's just wasting my whole night. If I turn DMs off? Then I'm stressed I'll miss someone who actually wants to get to know me.

So I got desperate lol.

At work I use accio work, this automation thing for client messages. One slow boring shift I messed around with it and hooked it up to my socials just so I wouldn't have to manually scroll through everything nightly.

Now it pulls every new DM plus their whole profile. After scrolling through hundreds of trash accounts I kept spotting the same sketchy patterns over and over. Jotted those down. Anyone matching them gets hidden right away. The half-decent ones get sent straight to my Telegram each night.

Every fake profile I've weeded out has basically the same red flags. They only hype up my looks right off the bat, never ask what I'm into or anything about me as a person. Their whole page is just endless selfies, zero posts about trips, hobbies, daily dumb moments. Some beg to meet up at random weird private spots after like 3 messages, others send unsolicited weird pics or start heavy flirting before we even have a real convo.

Lowkey curious though, what are YOUR go-to red flags when talking to strangers online? Trying to add more markers to my filter setup.

What kinda messages or empty profiles make you instantly nope out and stop wasting your time?
