Ok i know what you’re thinking, why the hell am I using Lighter?

Fair question to ask and to answer, i have no Ju Fufu, my Dialyn is locked up with Pyrosis, Evelyn, M2 Hugo, so Lighter is really the only other limited 5 star stunner i got, i tried lycoan but i get higher points on lighter

i got 120 pulls with welkin moon 0 pity and no guarantee, l’m looking to get mindscapes for evelyn and dialyn but don’t know if lighter can last until the next stunner dedicated for rupture or just a Dialyn 2.0

pretty dead set on Evelyn M1 or Dialyn M2, just asking of Lighter is good enough for Billy until the another more dedicated stunner or if norma already is the dedicated stunner?

Let me set the stage and take us back to the good old days of 2.x pre JQ. Back then one of the best team comps was the RRAT fua comp, people were complaining about the difficulty of the Aventurine story boss fight, and when pulling sig lc’s was outside the norm for most f2p players, the good ol days.

Well back in those days nihility debuff units that weren’t meant for DoT (SW, Welt, Pela, etc) could not match with the damage amplification of harmony units what so ever, Prime Robin and Ruan Mei area. If you had E2 SW you could come close but at that was 2 more cost than an E0 harmony so why bother wasting 300+ or more pulls.

As we all know when Acheron released, her team comps were locked behind the condition of 2 nihility units at E0. At that time nihility ampers weren’t on the same level as Robin or RM.

This was the main driving incentive for E2 Acheron

You could have the full dmg bonus with 1 nihility and run a harmony for insane damage. Safe to say if you had E2 Acheron back then running Sparkle, Sw, Fu Xuan you basically won the game.

THIS IS ALSO THE EXACT REASON WHY JQ WAS NOT A HEALER. And never will be (for Acheron)

If Jq were a healer on release, that meant you could fulfill the E0 2 Nihility requirement AND have a harmony unit in a free slot because the sustain slot character would already be a nihility unit RENDERING THE E2 POINTLESS. If JQ really did release as a healer then you could gain the full 160% self buff and the buff of a harmony like sparkle at E0, which was the entire reason for that E2 so that you have that 160% buff and a harmony unit. Hoyo couldn’t let that happen

Fast forward to today. Nihility Unit Now Have Competitive Dmg Amp To Harmony units. Firstly JQ, then Cipher, buffed Sw, buffed welt, now MBlade. In this day and age nihility units can replace harmony units in some teams due to their dmg amp, take a look at prydwen and Welt Robin RM and SW are on the same tier, show that to a guy in 2024 and they will have a heart attack.

Thus Acheron’s E2 becomes even more pointless as in most cases running 2 nihilities is more beneficial than 1 nihility and 1 harmony due to the fact that harmonies have trouble generating stacks for Acheron. Suddenly nihility units now gain the dmg amp they didn’t have in 2.x and on top of that they beat out harmonies due to stack generation.

What does this have to do with JQ’s novaflare?

My man reasoning that JQ novaflare will change him to be a DoT healer is the fact that Acheron’s dmg is perfectly fine when running 2 nihilities, mblade plus (cipher, welt, sw). What is the point of adding JQ to the sustain slot? Run a mono-nihility comp sounds fun but really redundant, S1 Hyacine had debuff stack generation, dmg amp, and sub dps dmg already. If you wanted to run JQ sustain and Mblade as second nihility to run a harmony it wouldn’t change much due to the fact that as already stated, nihilities now have comparable dmg amp to harmonies, unless it’s E1 3B adding a harmony will be worse because you lose out on more stack generation

The more Nihility units get better at dmg amp the worse E2 Acheron loses its value

The only way for JQ to have any sort of relevance in the conversation of the community other than being called a brick is to fully migrate to DoT teams to replace huohuo so that huohuo can go to elation.

A JQ healer for Acheron would be more than pointless as there’s already more than enough nihility units with good dmg amp to fulfill the 2 nihility requirement and even if they did make him a Acheron healer Hoyo would give up their design philosophy of Acheron’s E2 and let E0 Acheron run a harmony with the full 160% 2 nihility buff.

Maybe the real brick wasn’t JQ but the E2’s we made along the way
