As the title states, went grocery shopping tonight and just about lost it when my leek rang up for $5.44. I even asked the cashier if this was correct because it didn't seem like it. This was at a Safeway. To be fair, it was organic. I needed it for a recipe and Safeway doesn't always have non-organic leeks but STILL. Anyone else had a recent item you purchased where you noticed a giant increase?
She posts these things almost daily with "author unknown" and it feels so obvious it is her trying to be deep and wise and impart wisdom on her followers. I find it cheesey.

Since January I have suddenly had some acid reflux like symptoms. Never have before this. It started with the classic burning in throat and feeling it rise up my throat when lying down but now it has transitioned to more of a deep pain near clavicle or behind my breast, ear ache, throat feeling bruised and sometime, mucus and sometimes raspy voice. I am 31 yr female, BTW. I had the barium swallow test and it all came back normal except that the barium pill was held up lower down near my 5th or 6th rib (center of chest). No motility issues, no reflux seen, no webbing, nothing but this. My PCP said this isn't normal and is sending me to a GI specialist where I am sure they will do an endoscopy. Vascular issues were ruled out (I have a cardiac history and cardiologist told me this was not the cause).
Anyone have any ideas or similar experience? If i had to guess it is silent reflux since it is the classic symptoms. But with how much pain I am having and the held up pill you'd think they would have seen inflammation doing the swallow test so I am baffled. Thanks
