Gestational sac measuring 1 week behind baby at 10w4d — should I be concerned? However doc said everything looks healthy as CRL measures 10weeks 5 days. I only noticed Gestation age vs CRL measurement once I left the hospital and doc is now unavailable.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some reassurance/experiences with a slightly confusing ultrasound measurement.

I had a scan at 10 weeks + 4 days based on my dates.

The results were:
CRL: 38.52 mm → measuring 10w5d
Fetal heart rate: 176 bpm
Gestational sac: 42 mm → reported as corresponding to 9w5d
Yolk sac was visualised

Gestational sac margins were described as regular
No subchorionic hemorrhage was seen

The report’s final impression was a single live intrauterine pregnancy corresponding to 10w5d according to CRL

So essentially, my baby is measuring exactly on track (actually 1 day ahead), but the gestational sac is being reported as approximately 1 week behind.
I’m confused because I’ve read that the gestational sac should grow along with the baby, and seeing “9w5d” next to the sac measurement has made me anxious.

Has anyone had a similar situation where the CRL was measuring appropriately but the gestational sac measurement was about a week behind?

Did your doctor consider this normal, particularly around 10–11 weeks?

I’m not looking for a diagnosis — just trying to understand whether this discrepancy is something others have experienced and whether it turned out to be completely fine.

I have again started losing sleep. My initial symptoms before fi ding out I am pregnant at 3w6d was insomnia due to restlessness.

I started sleeping well from 5th week. And now again at 8w6d I have lost my sleep.

Night #2 without sleep and now this is causing headache as I working day time.

Will this be detrimental to baby’s growth? When will I be able to sleep again :(

8weeks Pregnant and so so disappointed with Ultrasound rules and regulation that excludes husband.

I am from Bangalore, Karnataka and here husbands are not allowed for ultrasound. It was so disappointing for my husband as he was really excited to see the heart beat and I was not allowed to even record a video of it.

This is so so so disappointing, I just hate that these are such beautiful life experience and he is excluded from all of it.

Anyone from Bangalore that found a diagnostic centre who let husband’s in?

Apparently a guy recorded ultrasound and then found out the gender and went ahead to abort and this happened in 2024 and ever since Karnataka has a policy that Husband’s are not allowed.

This is so bad. I am frustrated.

6weeks 3days and zero symptoms, keeps forgetting I am pregnant. How to not overthink? 😭

I have had zero symptoms since beginning, however, starting 6weeks and 6weeks 1 day, I had extreme sleepiness and had breast tenderness.

Yesterday and today, I have none.

What concerns me is due lack of symptoms, I keep forgetting I am pregnant and sometimes bend to fast while cleaning house extra which my husband keeps telling me to slow days and gives me a disappointing nod if I do something jerky, especially while getting out of bed or sitting down on floor.

I keep forgetting that I should be more careful mindful and slow movements.

Just wanted to vent. Any similar experience?

5W 3d pregnant and first ultrasound showed gestational sac and yolk sac, however fetal pole wasn’t visible. A lil concerned. Am I over-reacting?

Hi all,

I am new to this sub and this is my first pregnancy. I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Today was my first ultrasound and there was visible gestational sac and yolk sac.

Gestational sac aged 5 weeks and 5 days, however Fetal pole was not visible yet. Doc said it’s normal and has asked to visit her again in 2 weeks (around 7w3d) to check fetal pole and heart beat.

I have heard few youtuber having additional ultrasound done, however I am not sure about this.

What are your thoughts?

It’s truly disappointing that media is convinced that more trash talks = Entertainment (TRP). Sorry but Shreya Kalra is not entertaining and I would hate to see this continue

From bigboss to every reality show, the media house is literally supporting trash talks and fights.

If Shreya Kalra’s behaviour is not corrected or if she is not taken out of the show, this would be just another bigboss were people like Frahhana Bhatt win because “talk trash” equal “having a spine” or “being entertaining” or “calling spade a spade”

It’s really disappointing that this is what is called “entertainment” now.

Indian reality shows are just degrading day by day.

F (33) and M (34) TTC since October 2025. Since I had irregular cycle, my gynaec suggested me to go for medicated cycles. October (left side ovulation)-November(right side ovulation)-December (left side ovulation) was a medicated cycles with Letrozole 2.5x2 on CD2-6, trigger shot in average of 12-13 days followed my progesterone tablets. No success. H1Abc was in normal however thyroid was at 3.05. Weight and fat % is also fine.

In November, we checked husband’s thyroid which was significantly low. December we got SA done, turns out count is good however, motility is 20% slow progressive and 0% morphology. We started his fertility tablets, workouts, he has never smoked or had alcohol in his life. Work life is a bit stressful but he has actively managed to retrieve from work as much as possible.

January I did take Letrozole, however, I did HSG scan and found out that left tube is partially blocked (delayed and minimal spill was seen) however right tube is perfect and uterus looks good.

February-March-April was unmedicated cycles as I wanted to take break from Letrozole and other things.

Did blood work in March and found out that all my levels look good however HS CRP is bit elevated and is at 4.8. So I started with Omega 3, Vitamin D3+K2, CoQ10 and Magnesium. Along with sleep routine and I have been regularly working out.

Doc suggests ICSI, says we can try IUI but success rate is too low. She says, given my age, she wouldn’t recommend waiting or trying too long naturally.

I genuinely feel I can conceive naturally as husband and I putting all efforts to reach root cause and prepare ourselves. We have extremely healthy habit (over the year) the only part is work stress and sometimes disrupted sleep routine.

The place we live has very less option for male fertility clinic and I hate that.

I terribly confused if we should go for ICSI, try IUI or just keep trying naturally. Any suggestion would be really helpfuld.

TL;DR: F(33) and M(34) TTC since October 2025. Due to irregular cycles, underwent medicated cycles with Letrozole and trigger shots Oct–Dec, alternating ovulation sides, without success. Her labs were mostly normal (thyroid 3.05). Husband’s tests showed normal count but low motility (20%) and 0% morphology; lifestyle changes and supplements started. January HSG showed partially blocked left tube, right normal. Took break Feb–Apr with unmedicated cycles. March labs normal except elevated hs-CRP (4.8); began supplements and lifestyle improvements. Doctor recommends ICSI over IUI due to age and factors, but we hope for natural conception despite stress and limited fertility resources locally available.

Haven’t got a single high since CD15. I didn’t test from CD10 as the kit delivery got delayed. Started testing from CD 15, did the deed on CD7-9-12-13-14-16. Since CD17 was lighter than CD16, we stopped as we were really tired.

Took OPK test just for fun today CD25 (Probably DPO9) and now I am confused on why is CD25 darker than CD17
