29g pea puffer tank. 12 puffers or 6?

So I have a 29 gallon tank that I will be setting up for pea puffers. I intend on it being heavily planted like 300 to 400 dollars worth of plants and will have the tank run a few months with shrimp, snails, and blackworms. I know they are messy eaters and intend to do frequent water changes as well as plenty of overfiltration. My question is how many should I add? I want a good happy shoal and I know 6 is minimum but I wanna know what you guys with experience recommend. I've considered having ottos to help with any algae but I will keep it species only if It means more peas. What do you guys think?

My betta loves the underground hide

I put this his in originally for the shrimp. Smokey over time pulled in leaves and the roots from the tiger lotus crept in making it a spot of his own. I catch him sleeping in there every now and then lol

Hello so I'm looking to build my hardscape for my 29 gallon tall and I wanna know what materials you guys recommend and purchase to create these beautiful works of art. I plan to build something that is somewhat a combination of all these styles used in the photos. I plan on turning my 29 gallon into a pea puffer tank and wanna provide a real jungle feel and plenty of areas so that there is no fighting. I wanna divide this line of sight up down and all around lol I plan to use spiderwood and dragon stone. What base, adhesives, and any other supplies do you guys recommend and use? All the help and any help is greatly appreciated. I want my puffer paradise! But I wanna do it right. Thank you!
