I want to help homeless people but idk how

I recently got my license, and I would like to start giving out care packages to homeless people in my area. My issue is that I do not know what to put inside care packages. What do homeless people need? How can I help them? Before, I thought homelessness was a very simple thing, cut and dry, but giving somebody shampoo when they do not have access to clean water or a place to shower is not helpful. I have gained a lot of insight recently. What are some things I shouldn't give out?

I need insight on my mental health

TW: (Topics of self-harm, Suicide, substance use issues, eating disorder, and possibly other things.)

Hi, I am 16(f), and I’ll go by Onyx for

Anxiety and depression: I’ve struggled with my mental health primarily for the last 6 years (since COVID), given that I’ve been struggling with anxiety as long as I can remember. Back in Covid, when I was ten, I had run into adult content, which caused me to basically wanna end my life due to the sheer guilt I had felt seeing that. I didn’t know what it was, but I knew it was wrong. I had eventually told my mother, and she got me into therapy. Once my 6th-grade year started, I went back in person and started getting depressed and again having suicidal thoughts. I didn’t say anything. During my 7th grade year I broke down to my therapist after a conversation I had with my dad saying I thought I might be depressed, he then brought it up to my therapist at the beginning of my next session (my parents usually come back for the first 5 or so minutes to just give their opinion on how I’ve been doing between sessions) from then it progressed, during my 8th grade year due to bullying, lack of self esteem, body dysmorphia, and friend/family issues I started self harming, started as scratching/biting/hitting myself (I've done all those since I was little) to scratching til I bled, cutting, and burning. About April of that year, I told my parents after I had a really bad relapse, and I knew I needed help. Told my therapist that I had been sent to a PHP for a month, then continued therapy as normal. At the end of August, I had set a date to end my life at some point during the year, and when the time came, my best friend caught me writing letters. I then got hospitalized for the first time, a second time that November, and for a 3rd and final time in January after I had attempted to overdose and slit my wrists.

Eating disorder: when I came across the content and felt so guilty, I started purging, not even realizing it was the start of an eating disorder. 6th grade came along, and I started dealing with body dysmorphia. Seventh grade came along, I started restricting, and I started purging again. 8th grade, same thing, but I had told my doctor and therapist and have started working with it.

ADHD and substance use: In the summer of seventh grade, I had my first drink with a couple of my friends. In the summer of 8th grade, I started smoking weed/vaping and drinking more. By the time 9th grade came along, I was high almost every day, getting searched 3 times and getting caught 2 of those times. The first time, I was suspended, and the second time, I was expelled because I was caught with weed. I went online for the rest of the year. The main reason I started this was that I was dealing with unmedicated ADHD, and it was the only thing I'd found to calm my brain down.

Now, I'm 384 days cutting & burning free and 663 days free from purging. I still struggle with substances, but I keep them out of school, and I’m not constantly under the influence. I still also really struggle with suicidal ideation and feeling like I’m worthless. One of my main problems is that I feel like I’m not allowed to take up space in the world and that I should disappear. Of course, this is just an overview of my issues; there are more little things, but I mainly want to know what I can do. To help myself understand that I'm worthy of love and that I'm allowed to exist. I think part of it is that I feel like my existence is a burden to others, and that's why they matter, but I don't.
